More about Crossroads Motor Lodge Airport

Not a bargain for the price.

This place is a one star hotel/motel at best, rundown and messy. We stayed here for one night in Jan.2006 prior to a cruise because we wanted a cheap place to stay with a free shuttle from the airport, as did many other guests. It is a 200+ unit motel in a bad part of town, with a greasy-spoon bar and grill adjoining. The type of place you'd expect to see truckers and lower class patrons. (we did) There is nothing around within walking distance, we ordered a delivered pizza with our cell phone as the room phone did not work (neither did anyone else's that we talked to). The room was adequate for one night, I would NOT stay here for more than that. The office staff was slow and uncaring about everything. If you stay here plan on arranging your own transportation to the pier or airport as there is a big lineup at checkout time to both check out AND to catch the one shuttle bus that they cram full on each trip. There are taxis outside waiting, they don't cost too much and they save you time and hassle. This place is no bargain, next time I'd stay at a Motel 6 and pay for a taxi instead!!

Worst Stay Ever

Free Shuttle WHAT A JOKE!!! We stayed here because of the shuttle. We got off our cruise ship and called them to pick us up. After 2 hours, and 4 phone calls they finally showed up. Out of 2600 people on our cruise ship we were the last 2 people standing there. The shuttle going to the airport was the exact same. Waited 35 minutes before we took a cab so we wouldn't miss our flight. The entire time one of their shuttles was sitting there but that one didn't go the the airport only the ship port, what a joke. The hotel is a complete DUMP. Noisy, nasty, didn't want to touch the bathroom floor. You could see a gap under the front door. TERRIBLE. Front desk staff was very rude. Manager is totally incompitent.

Never, never again!!

This hotel was the worst we've stayed in. If there were another option we would have taken it. The "restaurant" was nothing more than a LOUD sleezy bar that had horrible service and played blarring Black Sabath music, the neighborhood was unsafe to walk anywhere in (according to the waitress), there were no luggage carts and the elevator was slow and undependable. Don't stay at this hotel!

We needed a place for 2 days before we went on out cruise. Believe me , we will never stay here again. The smell was somewhere between Mold and someones dirty feet. We were with another couple and they left us 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel and 1 wash cloth. When we asked for enough towels for all of us, they left us one more set. I went to the front desk to request 2 more sets and was asked what I needed them for. The room was dirty and the sheets were dirty. We needed to clean the bathroom before we used it. My advice is stay away.

"Terrible" would be a compliment !

This rates as the worst place we have ever stayed. No plugs in the sink or bath; cigarette ash on the counterpane; no hot water on arrival; filthy mattress under the sheet. Its only saving grace was the courteous staff in the reception. We paid £81 for the one night horror experience.
