Management and Staff succeed in pleasing
Please note the address, as this motel is in Tamarac, on the north side of Fort Lauderdale, almost into Pompano Beach. In late January, we were traveling from Naples to PBI airport and needed a place to "kill" an extra night. The staff has succeeded in making this slightly older motel a comfortable, welcoming place. The outdoor hot tub was great, even on a 60-degree morning, as it is sheltered from breezes. We were only 15 minutes from Fort Lauderdale's main beaches and the Riverfront development. No, this is not a seaside resort, but the location is handy and safe. We spent the next day enjoying Fort Lauderdale before heading for a PBI airport hotel.
Unique Quality: Management and staff threw a wine, beer, soft drinks and snacks get-together in the lobby (free) at 5:30 p.m. (apparently Mon-Thurs). They also provided a great free buffet breakfast. It was obvious that the hotel was renovated ( made handicapped-accessible) and that they did not stint on maintenance. Both the pool and hot tub were clean, maintained.
