Sawgrass Mills Mall
by lallarebecca
I wonder if anyone knows if there is a tour/excursion to Sawgrass Mills Mall from Fort Lauderdale?
We´ll not be renting a car while we are there, and would really want to go shopping at Sawgrass Mills, which is our best option and what are the prices??
Best regards, Rebecca

Thanks guys!
I do not understand why it has to be so hard to find this information online!!
I´ve googled Sawgrass Mills Mall and combined it with transport/bus... etc etc... And nothing came up!
I also e-mailed a private company but they wanted $45 + 20% gratitudes for each way!
I´ll definately go with the bus that you recommended!
By the way, can I buy the ticket on the bus or do I have to buy it in advance?
Best regards, Rebecca

The reason the mall's own website doesn't mention public transportation is that 99% of people drive their own cars. Only in NYC, Chicago, and San Francisco is public transportation widely used. Public transportation in most metropolitan areas are mainly used by the poor.
Travel Tips for Fort Lauderdale
Internet Access On Board a Cruise Ship
by cjg1
On Board the Navigator of the Seas(Royal Caribbean) they have an internet cafe to keep you connected to school, work or loved ones. The cafe has a number of workstations available for use. You can also bring your own laptop and use their WI-FI service. Liz always needs to have internet access since she is in school and brings her homework with her wherever we go.
The internet pricing is $.55 a minute or you can buy a package. We always buy a package. The package rates are: $28 for 60 minutes, $38 for 90 minutes or $55 for 150 minutes.
WI-FI areas of the ship aren't always very good. We seems to have the best connectionin the Schooner Bar. Be aware the connection is very slow and can be frustrating to use.
And don't forget the sun block
by garridogal
You'll need layers during the Spring. It was warm to downright hot and sunny during the day...so Swimming Suits and shorts will do. However, a sweater or the appropriate coverage is needed for night. And DO NOT forget your flip flops! Sunblock, Aloe, After Sun Lotion and lip goop!
Drinks overlooking the Aft Pool
by cjg1 about Horizon's Terrace Bar(Emerald Princess)
The Horizon's Terrace Bar on the Emerald Princess was one of our favorite outdoor spots. We enjoyed being at the back of the boat and watching the wake of the ship. This bar has several bar stools as well as tables and chairs in the surrounding areas. Whetehr daytime or night this bar seemed to be less crowded than others due to it's out of the way location and part of the reason why we enjoyed it so much. They served the typical hard liquor, beer, mixed drinks s well as soda. The bartenders made a good drink and were very attentive. Liz enjoyed several of their Margaritas on the rocks as did I. Casual
old fashioned diner
by shohman about Lester's Diner
Lester's has been around forever, and so have the waitresses. Open 24 hours this is a great place for a good cheap meal. It is absolutely huge, the food is great, and no need to worry for your safety at 3 a.m. as the local police are always here enjoying a well deserved meal. everything is good, but you need to try their homeade pies.
Pizza, Sandwiches and Snacks
by cjg1 about Cafe Promenade(Navigator of the Seas)
The Cafe Promenade is located right on the Royal Promenade (Deck 5). The cafe serves sandwiches, pizza, desserts, cookies and coffee all included in your package. We have stopped by here for some pizza and some snacks. The service here is very good and always friendly. You can eat in the cafe or take your food to your room. The pepperoni pizza is a favorite of ours. I loved the Mudslide Cookie which was incredibly good. Liz found some English Toffee cookies which are a favorite of hers and very close to the ones she makes at home. We like to take our snacks back to the room and enjoy them on the balcony.
