Riding to the Port
Is posible to walk from airport terminal to cruise terminal?
Is any pedastrian way, or must take taxi
I don't know if you can walk into the Port. That is a very good question. I would also like to know the answer. The entry is quites secure with about 4 car lanes for entry. ID is required.
The airport is not next to the port, if that is what you are asking: see http://www.porteverglades.org/directions-port-everglades.htm - it is 10 minutes between them by taxi or shuttle bus. There are lots of private companies that do it, see http://www.floridalimo.com/.
IN US, Walking on highways is legally not permitted and can be dangerous to your health. You will not find a walking crowd here. Often there will not be sidewalks where you need to walk.
The driving distance is 5.5 miles , a 1-hour walk at a pretty good clip even without luggage. A taxi would be your preferred mode.
Thankx for rapid response. I Think CruiseTerm is closed to FLL. So i will take a taxi.
If you follow the link posted above, you will find that there is also a bus option between the airport and ship port.
The airport has a shuttle service for about $10 a person you can find information about the shuttles and cabs by going to the website for that airport. Just a tip if you have time to kill at the airport before your flight.
All three terminals are right next to each other. You just go out the front door and walk a little ways down the sidewalk. Theres a airport sitting area in I think it was Terminal C (it was the first one on the left if your facing the front of the airport) it's free and open to the public on weekdays until 3PM. It looks like a VIP lounge but anybody can use it. It has Wicker couches and chairs, a small snack bar and TV's to watch. The airport website tells more about it. When we came back from our cruise we got there around 11am and our flight wasn't until 7PM. They let us stay in there until 5PM even though it said they close at 3PM. It sure was a lot nicer than sitting in plastic chairs for 8 hours.

You have to get there pretty early to see it, but the sunrise at the Fishing Pier in Lauderdale by the Sea is beautiful.
And if you like to fish, you can do that here too. They will rent you all the equipment you need - even bait!
They have a coffee shop, vending machines, and restrooms.
The Tradewinds Bar is locate don the upper deck overloking the pool area. The bar area was a nice size with bar stools and table in the surrounding area. They serve the usual hard liquor, mixed drinks, frozen specialties, beer and soda. Liz and I had our first drink onboard at this bar; a frozen berry dacquiri. The dacquir was a combination of strawberry, raspberry and blackberry which made for an interesting and not too sweet taste. It was served with a sugared rimmed glass and a strawberry garnish. It was very good and perfect for the warm weather.
After the first day the bar seemed to be invaded by smokers which turned us off of this bar completely....Too bad since we liked the pool view and nice breeze. Casual
Shirttail Charlies on the New River
The restaurant is hidden from the tourist crowd in a marina on the New River. It's unassuming attitude with it's paper plates and plastic utensils make this an ideal spot to come to and just while away the time. The pool is a magnet for children while the parents have a meal and drinks.
The International Cafe was located on deck 5 of the Emerald Princess. They served a variety of food items such as pastry, cakes, doughnuts, cookies, sandwiches and salads throughout the day. Beverages such as soda, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and water were also available. The food was free but the drinks are extra.
On several occasions Liz and I found ourselves here for a hot chocolate and a snack. The hot chocolate was surprisingly very good and topped with a large amount of whipped cream. Their apple cinnnamon muffins were very good as were their hazelnut cinnamon swirl bread.
