Holiday Inn -- free shuttle from airport
I stayed at this Holiday Inn for only one night -- I was on my way to Miami in March of 2006. Hotel was pretty much what was to be expected from most Holiday Inn hotels. Room was pretty clean & standard & stuff. My stay was short, but I did venture out to walk out to find food to eat. Fort Myers (in March) was pretty warm & humid, so wear shorts. I found a Taco Bell within 15 minutes walking, and also a Boston Market . There was also a liquor store, too. But I vividly remember the heat & humidty. The hotel is close to a shopping center/mall, but I didnt have time to check it out. Also, the hotel mentions an exercise room at the location, but the exercise room was very small -- only two exercise bikes, a single treadmill, and just a few freeweights to choose from. OTher than that, I enjoyed my brief stay at the Holiday Inn in Fort Myers. There is a free shuttle to and from the airport, but you have to call from the airport (free phone service) and wait for the Holiday Inn van to arrive. Also, you have to schedule an appointment to get the shuttle to bring u back to the airport. It's best to tip the driver maybe a buck or more since he'll most likely be driving you and no other passengers . All in all, I cant complain, I just wished I had more time to explore Fort Myers
