"The" Banyan Tree
by lar-n-me
This picture shows the Banyan Tree (nickname, the 'walking tree') which he planted in 1925, a gift from Harvey S. Firestone after a trip to India. At the time, the tree was only four feet tall and two inches in diameter. YES this is all one tree!...unfortunately the camera can't quite capture how huge it is!!
The tree now has a circumference of over 400 feet! It is rumored that the banyan's in India are so large, they're used as shopping centers/villages and people have been known to get lost in one tree, never to be found or found too late.

"Home away from home"
Since I travel for work, I thought I'd start building pages about where I've been. These won't be very touristy, since I am far from a tourist. My life on the road consists of airports, hotels, offices and resturants. In this case, I picked up a corporate apartment to a) save money and b) have a place for my stuff so I don't have to haul it home every weekend.
So far, I've found Iguana Mia's just across the toll bridge in Cape Coral. There is also one on this side, but I have other reasons to cross the bridge.
