We only spent one night at the Manatee Bay Inn, but this would be a perfect spot for a week or two at the beach. We arrived kind of late, maybe 8:30 pm, so we just had time to check in, freshen up, take a quick walk around the property then get a late dinner. The next day we awoke early and had to depart by 7:30 am to catch the Key West Ferry. The inn's office wasn't even open yet, so we just left the key in the room.
The accommodations feel almost brand new, and each of the eight or so units has a bedroom, a kitchen, sitting area, a full bath, and a back patio overlooking the pool and the small lagoon behind the hotel. The kitchens are fully equipped with stoves, refrigerators, and microwaves. Also, there are just enough parking spots to allow for one car per room. The inn has a nice common area where breakfast is served daily, they have a great swimming pool, docks, kayak rentals, and they say manatees hang out in the lagoon (hence the name).
This is a very quiet and comfortable inn, and perfect for a romantic getaway.
