Cool off in the pool by scottishvisitor Good all round hotel in a central location. Easy access to theme parks by car or hotel shuttle bus.
Great pool area you usually have it to yourselves as everyone is away for the day but the pools do get a bit noisey and crowded with kids in the evenings Good place to chill out on the days when you need a rest from the parks. Excellent suites for families with children or two couples with two master bedrooms with private bathrooms & TV lounge-dinner fully equiped another TV NO TIME FOR TV!! Key West, Holiday Inn by tpangelinan Nice hotel. Beautiful pool. Good restaurant, Hemingway Cafe. One of top 5 hotel beaches I saw while there. I asked at the desk how much and she said $195.00, (our room was like $95.00) I thought that was high for May. Beach Front by tpangelinan These charming ocean front cottages are located right on the beach!! It is really still in Sanibel, but you feel like you are in Captiva, and closer to Captiva activities, but the address is technically Sanibel. It is actually located at Blind Pass, a strip that connects the two islands. Screened in porches, they are lovely, comfortable, and not impossible for a family to manage! Once you cross the causeway and come onto the island, take a right at the first stop sign onto Periwinkle Way. Follow Periwinkle Way approximately 3 miles to the 4-way stop sign. Turn right onto Tarpon Bay Road. Follow to 4-way stop sign. Turn left onto Sanibel-Captiva Road (also knows as 'San-Cap' Road). Follow San-Cap for approximately 7 miles and you will see the Castaways Office on your right. It is right before the small Blind Pass Bridge that connect Sanibel and Captiva islands.
It dosen't get any sweeter than this place! The folks who run the resort are pumping in money for updates and improvements everyday! Check out their web site, and see for yourself. Whenever possible, please check VT sponsors for prices! This keeps your VT-FREE!! Howard Johnson Hollywood Beach by deecat While visiting Florida's East Coast, we spent a few nights in Hollywood Beach, near Ft. Lauderdale and North Miami Beach. We were going to Gulfstream Race Track to see the famous horse Cigar run, and we wanted a convenient location for our home base. We stayed at Howard Johnson Hollywood Beach Hotel where there are 6 miles of golden sand beaches, a wonderful 2 1/2 mile oceanfront broadwalk, and the hotel's right on the beach!. The hotel has an oceanfront pool and deck, a casual place to eat called Breezin & T.C. Burger on the Pool Deck. You are able to have a room with either a King-sized bed or two doubles, and all rooms have a small balcony (ours had a great beach-ocean view). The bathroom was large and well supplied, and the room was nicely furnished and clean.
We enjoyed "Big Shots Lounge" in the evenings. It's quite famous for its tropical drinks, hors d' oeuvres, and nightly Happy Hour. There is also a Howard Johnson family restaurant where we ate one evening and found it quite good. The breakfasts were excellent. Compared to most other places in the area, this hotel is modestly priced but still offers good service, great accommodations, and spacious quarters. If you are ever in the area, give it a try Theme: HotelPrice: US$40-80 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than averageAddress: 2501 North Ocean Drive, Hollywood Beach, FL 33019Phone: (305) 925-1411

by Arial_27 I stayed at Travelodge when I was in Tampa Bay and it was my favourite hotel. The rooms were comfortable, with a TV, and kitchen facilities. There was a huge swimming pool just outide our room. If you walked out the gate of the fence around the swimming pool, you were on the beach. The beach was rocky at the water's edge, but it had the most beautiful sunset and you could see dolphins jumping in the distance. There was air-conditioning in the hotel, but no complimentry breakfast. And it was pretty cheap too. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Since we were there in May, it wasn't as busy and we got to stay there for a cheaper price, so it was definately a terrific experience.
Great view, television, phone, swimming pool, air conditioning, kitchen facilities, games room, bar, dining room Theme: HotelPrice: US$40-80 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than averagePhone: 1-800-359-7234Directions: It's near the Don Cesar.

There are several advantages to staying inside the park. What are they you ask? Ok, 1) The price to stay at each hotel is per person price. This makes the cost seem high, but tickets to both parks, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure are included in the price. 2) Express pass is included. You use your key card to your room as an express pass. Just show it to ride attendants to get in the express line! 3) A one-day admission to another park is included. 4) And one movie pass for each person is also included. 5) Transportation to and from the park is provided free. Various water taxies do this. So, if you are only going to the park during your Orlando visit, you won't have to rent a car. 6) You won't have to pay $10.00/$15.00 USD each day for parking. What, you haven't booked yet? Well get movin!!!
This is a great deal for those that only want to go to Universal Studios while being in Orlando.

5am where is my car!! by artform Hidden away on Esponola way in the trendy South Beach is a wonderful place. Clay hotel is close to everything, the many clubs which party until 3am in the a.m. But don't worry the after hour clubs don't open until 3:30am. The beaches are 3 blocks away. Can you say sunburn and dehydration ;=) Don't go by the name. The Clay hotel is a hostel and a hotel. Just depends on what you want to spend. In the old days it was a hangout for Al Capone. Now this area is all Art deco and rather pleasant to the eye.
The unique quality is location!!! Everything is within 1-4 blocks away. Small quaint rooms. TV, A/C room refrig. for private rooms.
