 | Florida Reviews | Tips 31 - 40 of 214 | | I loved this hotel! I have a few complaints, but the room was gorgeous and the areas for relaxation were nice as well. There were many "outside beds" where guests could lay around, get a tan, etc. There is even a rooftop pool, which is a lot more quiet and more of an adult area than the other pool. Very close to the beach. There is also free alcohol from 7-8 pm. The complaints: I booked it on hotwire and when I arrived they informed me that I'd be charged an extra $15 that hotwire doesn't charge. Also, we had to park about 6 blocks away where we payed $1 an hour as opposed to the $40 a day that we were going to get charged to park in front of the Catalina. I booked this on hotwire...if I had paid the full $225 they wanted, I'm not sure I would consider it such a great deal. There are lots of others hotels in the area.

Staying in a disney world resort is a must. How better to expreience and get around. When my partner and I go (year after year) - we get around the world also not just Disney world!!!! we stay in Pop century - a value hotel - but far from value- cheap cheerful (best free transport to take you anywhere within disney world), clean more like a 4* hotel in comparison to London's hotels. Also it works out cheaper - odly to stay in a disney resort. Pop century is quite a big hotel with buildings dotted on a large space of land each bringing you back to a century you wish to stay in (hence the name of the hotel). My partner and I stay in the 70's building as we like the location-although it does not have its own pool, there is one a few metres away in the 60's area. This building allows you to stay close to the main building hall (reception, food, etc) but away from the kids that love the pools etc.
great TV selection :) Leave a Comment

This hotel is beautiful and the pool is large and clean (although outdoors). There is also an outdoor whirlpool. The rooms were clean as well. The bar and restaurant downstairs were way too expensive in my opinion and the breakfast is nowhere near free. However, there are many restaurants within walking distance. This hotel was clean, and had a frigde, microwave, desk, couch, chair, TV, and bed. It was nice, but I wouldn't pay $150 to stay here (that's tripadvisor's average price for the hotel). I would say it's worth about $80-90 a night. It's a safe area and the airport shuttle is reliable. There are a few eating places within walking distance. And the continental breakfast isn't bad either (waffles, plus cold items). However, the couches and bed comforters are a little out of date and that to me brings the value down. But, like I said, they're clean. Theme: HotelPrice: US$120-180 » Currency ConverterComparison: more expensive than averageAddress: 7500 Augusta National Drive, Orlando, FL 32822

You will have a nice time here. There is plenty of quietude, beautiful scenery and you aren't too far from civilization.
This 84.5-acre conservation area and urban district river park on an island in the Indian River Lagoon is near the Sebastian Inlet marine ecosystems and the Atlantic Ocean. It features campsites along the shoreline for convenient fishing, a boat ramp, small fishing dock and fish cleaning station. Adjacent to the camping area and connected by a bridge, Scout Island offers primitive camping at a reasonable group rate and more than a mile of nature trails. Nature walks are provided for school children and organized groups by appointment. I found this hotel on line. They even have their own website. It looked like it would be a good place to stay for our trip. My wife and I Attended Bike week 2007 and stayed at this motel because of its location right on the beach and because of its proximity to the event. Unfortunately, I have to say I was pretty disapointed with the experiance overall. If price is your only concern, then I guess there is nothing to complain about. I will never make this mistake again. The conditions of this motel were poor at best with questionable security. (yes, things were taken from our room prior to our departure). I was not impressed. Tip: Don't leave anything of value in your room. Evaluation: Pay a little more to make your vacation, a vacation...)

I always stay in one of Disney's resorts when I visit and the Animal Kingdom Lodge was one of my favorites. This is an expensive place to stay but I just love the convience of the transportation to and from all the parks when I stay in the resorts. It is worth it.
Our room was very nice and had a balcony that overlooked all kinds of wildlife. No kidding I had giraffes eating off the trees right outside my room and no barrier between us. They also have great activities for the kids. Every time a child completes an activity they get a bead to add to a necklace they get to create during their stay. Its so much fun and we really loved the storytime by the campfire.

This is a luxurious hotel. It is three stories high and they have an open area in the middle with comfortable chairs, a big screen TV, and coffee 24/7. The staff was very nice and made me feel welcome. My room was large, well equiped and comfortable. With my military discount it was also very reasonable.
They said they had a Continental Breakfast in the morning. In addition to the normal toast, donuts, cold cereal, etc, they had an excellent cheddar cheese omelet and bacon.

We didn't actually stay there, but have driven by this large pink resort many times, so I took a photo...... I added a link to their website for any that do wish to stay there. It is in a nice location. I gave it a great rating, since I had to pick one, and somehow I am assuming it is nice inside ....
