We both had our own king size bed with 5 pillows and a superb matras. One night we found our fresh towls were origamied in weird shapes. The hotel has two small swimmingpools. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus service to several amusement parks.

View from our room! by MarieGutscher Clean basic rooms. Good soaps and lots of towels. Our housekeeper Juan was wonderful. The best part about this resort is its size. No matter where you are you are only a few minutes walk to the main restaurant and bus stops to go to the different Disney resorts. Although there is only one fast food style restaurant they offer a wide enough variety that you don't have to eat elsewhere. The bottom line is that you spend so much time in the theme parks you're normally only in the resort for breakfast anyway. We walked the short walk to the Port Orleans Riverside and had a sit down meal there as well. The service was good the food was also very good and the short walk back to the French Quarter along side the waters edge was lovely. Get the meal plan - totally worth it and it makes budgeting a lot easier at the park.
The Port Orleans French Quarter has one pool and one hot tub. Its fine! Especially with all of the water parks at your disposal! We took the boat ride to Downtown Disney and our boat captain was funny and entertaining making the ride seem a lot shorter. We took a bus back to the resort and were glad for it as it was raining and a bit cold. The resort was very quiet and we had a lovely stay. I would not hesitate to stay there again!

Holiday Inn seen from the beach by Flem2002 Having done a search online for the address, I don't think this hotel exists any longer in its old form, but any hotel on South Beach will offer similar amenities. The rooms were large, with two double beds and we were only charged for the room rather than per person, so this works out cheap when you split the cost 4 ways. There was a large pool with sunloungers, the beach right on the doorstep and walking distance to all the shops, bars, nightlife and tourist spots on South Beach. Hotel was clean, staff were friendly and we couldn't have asked for anything more.
The hot jacuzzi in the grounds - it was always empty at night so it became a habit to take a Cuba Libre downstairs for a half hour soak in the bubbles before bed. Less than a minutes walk to the beach. Fabulous huge condo the internet photos did not do it justice and it had everything a family would need. The 2nd floor condos have a loft area containing 2 twin beds. The complex itself has tennis courts and a heated pool.
Fantastic being so close to the Gulf of Mexico. Views are not great only 4 condos actually have views of the gulf and the 2nd floor ones were already reserved for next Christmas the first week in January. We spent Thanksgiving camping there. We have been there many times , it is one of our favorite campgrounds in Florida. Anastasia is just south of St. Augustine. All campsites are large and have lots of trees. The bathrooms are usually in good shape, and the beach is just beautiful. This time it was too cold to go swimming, but it is still nice to walk on the beach. There is a nice little trail through the woods also, plus a fishing pier nearby and lots of other fishing areas. The park has lots of paved trails also for biking or walking. If you plan on visiting for Thanksgiving, make reservations early, it fills up by August usually.
Beautiful campsites and beach

There are several advantages to staying inside the park. What are they you ask? Ok, 1) The price to stay at each hotel is per person price. This makes the cost seem high, but tickets to both parks, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure are included in the price. 2) Express pass is included. You use your key card to your room as an express pass. Just show it to ride attendants to get in the express line! 3) A one-day admission to another park is included. 4) And one movie pass for each person is also included. 5) Transportation to and from the park is provided free. Various water taxies do this. So, if you are only going to the park during your Orlando visit, you won't have to rent a car. 6) You won't have to pay $10.00/$15.00 USD each day for parking. What, you haven't booked yet? Well get movin!!!
This is a great deal for those that only want to go to Universal Studios while being in Orlando.

There are 3 hotels inside Universal studios. They are the Hard Rock Cafe, Portofino Bay Hotel and the Royal Pacific Resort. All are very nice and we have stayed at the Royal Pacific several times. So far this is the only one in the park we had stayed in because it is the least expensive of the 3. This is a first class Hotel and we have never had a problem with the service or staff during any of ours visits. There are advantages by staying inside the park, which I will cover in my other tips.
Has a huge pool with and outside bar. Very clean and well maintained. It is a beautiful hotel.
