Good location for trips throughout the Keys. But there is much, much more within and behind this motel. Not only it's a friendly place with clean and comfortable rooms. Price is about average along the Keys but your bucks can have a special meaning here, thus some publicity is deserved.
The motel provides space, buildings and features to the charity organization named "The Turtle Hospital", which is the only structure in the world dedicated to these animals.
All four Florida species are endangered and protected. Volounteer teams of veterinarians conduct research and take care of turtles with ailments. Surgery, feeding and rehabilitation programs allow to take back to the ocean a great number of injured animals each year. Programs also include the nursing of hatchlings.
Some turtles are permanent residents of this structure as they would never survive out there. Check these individuals out on the hospital's web pages and go meet them if you can! Leave a Comment

I really enjoyed my stay at this funky, beachy Florida hotel. It is just steps away from beautiful Vanderbilt beach within view of the Ritz Carlton, but this place is affordable! On site restaurant/bar, swimming pool and friendly staff. It's not fancy, but it's got the perfect beachy room look. Make sure to head to Vanderbilt beach every night for the evening sunset. *I went during off-season rates at Thanksgiving, rates are higher during peak season. Either way, it's still a great deal.
Have coffee at the Ritz Carlton every morning and stay at this hotel and you will really come out ahead. Great Location St Petes Beach,Very Friendly,Wonderful Beach Bar Great Music most weekends,staff Friendly...Dolphin Shopping Village Opposite.whilst in St Petes you must go and see the wonderful Sunset at Pass a Grille,Fort De Soto is also a must see wonderful Beaches,Fishing,Nature Reserve.....Also Johns Pass is a lovely place to relax in the Evening,Great Restaurants and Bars...Fishing at Reddington Pier is a Must

When I came here, there was thunderstorms and I was carrying about 5 stone in weight on a backpacker excursion. I had a pleasant welcome and some of the unique characters I met while staying there was great. However, I do have a number of gripes which involve the kitchen area mainly due to a lack of cleaning, but, that may have been due to a few untidy guests.
Even though the beds and hostel was a good clean stay, I felt as though there wasn't alot to do and getting to attractions without a vehical was a challenge in itself. Worth a visit but not a prolonged stay in my book.

I stayed there for 4 nights and it was the best time ever. I canceled 1 day at Disney to stay at the hotel. They have a free-formed pool that has a water fall that lights up different colors at night. There is a water slide that comes out of beautiful landscape. Then if you can get the kids to sleep sneak out to pool side with the hubby....even in February, there is an outdoor jacuzzi with a water fall in it. The most relaxing time you'll ever have. They take you back and forth to the parks so you don't have to pay $10 to park. Bigger trucks is like $15 I think. Room service is wonderful.
I don't think there is a bad view in the resort. Gorgeous layout. The pool and jacuzzi are two real nice amenities. Valet parking is always nice too because it is soooo big you'd be carrying your bags a long way otherwise. REMEMBER not in Orlando it is in Kissimee.
