Retirement to Inverness
"Moving to Inverness, Fl."
June 8th and we have arrived at our new home in Inverness, Fl. We toured the town and took this picture of the old courthouse. A great restaurant "Stumpknockers" is just around the corner and there are some really cute shops, all within a block. For breakfast and lunch we have come across 'Cockadoodles' where you will find us a couple of mornings a week. They have great food and friendly personnel.
"Inverness June & July 2004"
We have spent the months of June & July at our new home in Inverness, Florida. The temperature is hot-hot-hot.
Joey (hubby) decided to buy a push type lawn mower instead of a riding one. He lost 10 lbs just cutting the grass in the 90+ degree weather. He should have listened to me!!
We have citrus trees, tangerines, grapefruits and oranges. Can't wait until they have fruit. My dream was to always have citrus trees in retirement.
"Wisconsin Aug & Sept."
We made the great escape. We needed cooler weather and decided to take our 5th wheel (camper) to our cottage in Wisconsin. We have had our cottage since 1980 and were going to sell it when we retired but, once we got there in August, we decided it was too nice to get rid of. Also, the grandkids know it as their 'roots'. We have had many great times throughout the years. Anyway, the temperatures in Wabeno, Wisconsin were a lot more tolerable.
