a great place to relax
the chesapeake resort is located across the bridge from holiday isle next to whale harbor marina. this very nice property is walking distance to holiday isle but is more refined and quiet than the hotels at holiday isle. the chesapeake resort is more like a better bed & breakfast than a hotel. if you come to islamorada to party i suggest holiday isle but if come to islamorada to relax i recommend the chesapeake resort. the chesapeake resort has an excellent location and is near all of the attractions and better restaurants in islamorada. as with most hotels in the keys the prices are much higher during the winter tourist season.
