I like the setup of this B&B, there are two floors all surrounding the pool, which is in the center. We stayed downstairs so we only had to carry our drinks a few steps to hang out around the pool. They provide towels, the pool was nice and clean (but cold) and nobody bothered us about keeping quiet or anything. The rooms were decorated in the usual cozy unique Key West style. Our friends room had a small porch, our room was more expensive and had a jacuzzi tub that was not worth the extra $$! Although the jacuzzi worked well, the shower water trickled out and the water took forever to go down the drain, so taking a shower was not fun. Maybe they've fixed this issue since then but if not, pass on the jacuzzi rooms. Key West doesn't have many places I'd want to stay with kids, but from my impression this wouldn't be a bad choice for kids and family. It was quiet and nothing crazy was going on there. I like this B&B overall; however, it's not any nicer than others I've stayed at and I'd rather walk 5 minutes or so and get a much better deal somewhere else. You can save yourself $80/night or so if you're willing to walk a few minutes.
Unique Quality: The breakfast is outstanding!!! Nothing helps cure your hangover faster than this breakfast! Breakfast is cooked to order and served in their screened patio area. Choices include pancakes, omelets and other eggs, french toast, hash browns, fruit, coffee, juice and more. The cooks here know what they're doing - the food is cooked to perfection! Everything we had was delicious.
Directions: Right off Duval
Last year, in November, we stayd at the Blue Parrot (B&B) at Elisabth near Duval St.
The accomodation was at a reasonnable price (109 $ + tax) and well located at 5 mn walk from the corner of Duval & Trueman.
We wish to change this year.
Could you suggest an other Hotel or B&B with pool, located near Duval at an unexpensive price ?

We have stayed at the Marquesa, Ambrosia, Heron & The Colony but this was years ago before we purchase our timeshare at the Hyatt Sunset Harbor in 1996. Most of these places have websites for your viewing. Hope this helps for your next visit to paradise in Key West.

it has everything key west has to offer in hte way of b&b and hotels . price it in this site then go to hotels.com and see what king of price you can get. Why don't you give the the gulf coast a try much nicer beaches try around long boat key , Anna Marie or Clearwater , You won't be sorry.

I recommend Ocean Breeze Inn on South Street! It's a Key West style motel, and the owners, Jim and Linda, are good friends of mine and wonderful folks! It's very close to Duval Street and also to Louie's Backyard...a favorite place of locals and visitors alike.
