Key West at an affordable price!
by aleah475
Key West can absolutely be done on a budget! I would recommend perhaps staying at a Bed and Breakfast! This is a really affordable option since breakfast is included, especially at luxury settings like poolside! There are many that are even at a desirable location for you whether it is oceanside or located in the heart of Duval St. or Mallory Square. When I traveled to Key West I used the keywesthistoricinns.com website! I was able to find out the awesome amenities. My room even had a cute kitchenette! Everytime I go to Key West I find the perfect place to stay!

A clean place, a great deal
by minneolamatt
We stayed here 1/25/07 thru 1/29/07. Found a $99 a night offer on the net. We were amazed we got such a deal for January. This Inn was more than worth it. Barely off Duval St. with on-site parking. A pleasant surprise for KW. Our room was clean and maintained daily. The staff was pure Key West. We felt relaxed and at home walking across brick walkways and through foliage to and from our room. We are going back in the summer.

Duval Inn during spring break
by TripAdvisor Member here_and_there_62
Just returned from a one week stay at the Duval - March 13 - 20. The room was a bit small (THE LEAF Room) but had the private bath we wanted (some rooms share a bath).
Staff was very accommodating and knowledgable.
Location is GREAT. It's about half way between each end of Duval Street.
Being spring break vacation time, it can get a little noisey and the like but the Inn's location is just far enouth away that you are never bothered. (although the rooster who lives just outside seems to wake up well before sunrise).
If you are really into pool side stays, this may not be the place. Pool is small and surrounded by trees and if the wind kicks up, the pool is quickly filled with debris.
A great place

My wife and I went down to the Duval inn last week and we were extremely satisfied with the whole experience. The general manager would bend over backward to make sure our needs (bikes, a scooter, and dinner res) were taken care of. The property was very clean and charming, and our room (Lauren) was beautiful and clean. Everything is right there, but it was also quiet and romantic. We will be back for sure!
Awesome stay

We had an excellent time in Key West. We really enjoyed the Duval Inn. Jp the manager was wonderful, attentive, and friendly. The continental breakfast and evening drinks were a bonus to an already enjoyable stay. The newly remodeled rooms in the main house are beautiful. For the budget minded like ourselves, we enjoyed the Seahorse room. It was simple with a shared bath, but we still had the amenities that everyone else enjoyed. We look forward to staying again.
Great Find in Key West

This is the second time we stayed at the Duval Inn, and saw an immediate improvement from last year....new management! JP and Frankie were awesome....attentive, friendly, helpful, and a joy to talk with. The Inn is a half block off Duval Street. Rooms are clean, continental breakfast is good, happy hour is happy! We look forward to staying there again next year.
We always feel at home!

My wife and I have stayed at the Duval Inn for at least a week
every year, for about 7 or 8 years now. We have always loved the
location and the charming old home. During these visits we have
stayed in several rooms in the main house and once in the cottage. We've always found our rooms to comfortable and clean.
Some rooms are larger than others and offer slightly different
ammenities,all are quite nice.
The staff and managment have been excellent, willing to "jump through hoops" to make you feel welcome.
The new manager [ J.P.] has brought many welcome changes,
such as improvements to the facilities and decor as well as a
"happy hour" where guests can meet and share their experiences. We"ll be back! Thanks.
Excellant accomadations!

This place was beyond or expectations in every sense of the word. The room (the Hibiscus) is exactly as described on their web site......a very nice room.
The pool is very nice and the best view of it isn't even what they have on their web site. The outdoor breakfast area is very relaxing and serene.
JP, the manager is just a great guy. All of the office staff just couldn't help enough.
We went on one of the all inclusive adventure days (snorkeling, catamaran boat ride, parasailing, bannana boat and jet skiing). I had an accident on the jet ski (my fault) and broke my pelvis. Terrie called JP, the manager from the hospital and told him what happened. They moved all of our stuff from the upstairs Hibisucs room to a room downstairs, while I was still at the hospital.
When we arrived back from the hospital, JP explained that they were at dinner over on Duval St. but that they'd cut it short and come on back to give us the key to the new room. They then got us a bag of ice for the swelling, water, offered to take the prescription over to the pharmacy for us and then told us that they'd deliver our breakfast to our room in the morning. They were just great and we couldn't have wanted anything more.
I would highly recommend the Duval Inn to anybody looking for a very nice room very close to all the action of Duval St. (100 feet away).
Very pleased customers

Excellent management. Very friendly and felt at home. Nice and private location but still in the middle of everything. Walking distance to all the main bars, restaurants, and marinas. Very comfortable and inviting room(Caroline Room). We would definitely stay again.
Great stay in KW
by TripAdvisor Member LondonKaytee
The Inn is in a great location - central for all KW attractions but just off Duval so quite quiet. Room was relatively small but nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast good and great margaritas (or wine/beer but why would you in Margaritaville??) at happy hour (or 2).
