More about Grand Guest House

What a Gem

by A TripAdvisor Member

Wonderful Key West for a reasonable price: Just off the beaten (Noisy) path in old town is this quaint small guest house. We could have not been more happy with the place or the people. The manager Alan was wonderful and helpful - this was our first trip to Key West and they made sure we did all the right activities and skipped the expensive tourist traps. They have a great large swim spa which made our quiet evenings a the Grand a pleasure - We will be back!

Excellent Location, Great staff

by TripAdvisor Member Andywilson460

Stayed for 3 Nights in late December, and The Grand was fantastic. We stayed in the cheapest room, and it was great - we even had our own veranda.

One of the Grand's best features is its location. Although it is in a quiet suburb, everywhere in Key West is accessible by foot, so all you need to do is park your car at the Hotel, and then enjoy the fresh air and exercise.

The staff are really nice, and offered us beach towels for swimming in the sea, and Alan the manager was a fount of knowledge about the best places to eat locally, and all the things that you should really see - as well as the tourist spots - He even told us where to go if it was raining. - His restaurant recommendations were brilliant, and he understood exactly what we were looking for (where the real Key Wester's eat).

The Grand is an incredibly relaxed and easy going B+B, perfect for those who want to relax and enjoy the Keys without staying in a high rise hotel.

I Can't speak highly enough of the place.

Tropical New Year

I want to thank everyone at the Grand for a qreat visit. Jim and Jeff know everything about the island and have always been helpful with arranging whatever we wanted to do such as the cruise, the perfect dinner reservation, the show at La Te Da.

The guest house is nestled away from the crowds of Duval street but still in withing walking distance to everything. It's the perfect place to stay.

Thanks again and I'll see you again soon.

Great place to stay!

We loved our stay at The Grand Guest House. The rooms are very clean and the owners are very helpful on where to go and what to see. A great way to experience Key West living is to stay at this place. We wouldn't waste our money to stay at a chain hotel when the scenery and accomodations were so pleasant and enjoyable here. Great job!

Great B&B!

We just returned from a 3 day stay at the Grand in Key West. Our short stay was ideal. The owners were exceptionally helpful in recommending activities and restaurants (their recommendations were great!). Our room was immaculate, the setting was quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed a simple breakfast which was just what we wanted with a two hour timeframe in which to enjoy it outside on the lovely patio. Jim and Jeff were exceptional hosts and went out of their way to make our stay a delightful one. We would highly recommend it if you get to Key West and want a relaxing vacation.

exactly what we had in mind

When we began searching the internet for a place to stay in Key West, we were a bit overwhelmed. Once we arrived at The Grand, we knew we made the right choice. The price was reasonable and best of all the location was great. It was quiet at night and yet only a ten minute walk to every thing we saw. We parked the car and then never used it until our departure. The owners gave us excellent recommendations. The outdoor patio area is a great place to lounge. A perfect trip!

It's the staff that make the Grand, well, Grand!

This was our 1st trip to Key West and we travel for exceptional food, fun, and great accommodations at a good value. We found it all through the Grand.

We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms with the kitchen, dining, sitting area. It isn't large and it isn't new but it is spotless and very workable. Our bedroom/bath area was also small but very adequate, again spotless and also quiet. Loved the local art on the walls (check the key drop box by the front door, so cute!) We enjoyed cocktail hour on our veranda and a perfect continental breakfast daily on the patio, complete with Jeff's home baked bannana or pumpkin breads. Yummmmm!

Our days and evenings were filled with adventure, thanks to Jim. His first recommendation was to rent bicycles which was the perfect way to get around the area and avoid parking hassels or walking till you drop. Then he set us up with a wonderful lunch at Sunset Key, a 5 minute ferry ride away. Great fun was the "Danger Tour" where we spent 4 hours sailing, kyaking and learning about island formations in the Mangroves and snorkeling, all with helpful fun staff on board.

Jim got us into 3 other great restaurants, and a very fun dinner show. We also saw the area on the conch train, visited the butterfly conservatory, had key lime pie on a stick and watched the sunset celebration at Mallory Square along with fitting in several museums and shopping on Duval Street.

We were only there 4 days but thanks to the staff at The Grand, we felt like we "did" Key West and can't wait to return.

The Grand

The Grand Bed & Breakfast in Key West, Florida was absolutely perfect for our stay. My daughter and I shared a quite comfortable room with private bath for 5 days. Jim Brown could not have been nicer. The breakfast items served every morning were fresh and delicious and especially nice to sit at the outside tables with umbrellas every morning. I especially liked that it was so very private and you could not hear other guests in other rooms. I would highly recommend The Grand to anyone who vacations in Key West.

Perfect for us...

The Grand was exactly the kind of bed & breakfast that we needed. The staff is friendly, while also respectful of privacy. The rooms were very comfortable, air-conditioned, clean and roomy. The breakfast was always lovely...a nice medley of fruits, muffins, yogurts, eggs, toast, and wonderful coffee. The outdoor patio was quaint and secluded and never crowded. The Grand was exactly what we wanted and priced perfectly. We would never hesitate to return!
