    We were looking for a special place to stay in Key West for our honeymoon. While the Island City House Hotel could never be considered a "budget inn", we think it gave us great value for our money. It seemed to be within walking distance from nearly everywhere and the accommodations were outstanding. Breakfast was served in the courtyard surrounded by beautiful gardens, We stayed in the third floor suite of a separate building called the "Cigar House". Very private and comfortable.

    Loved this place! We had a 2 BR, 1 BA suite with small Living Room & Kitchen. But the best part was our porch, with cushioned wicker love seats and rocker! We spent most lazy time out there!

    The staff was top-notch. The maid even washed a few dishes we had let in the sink!

    There are several building that make up the Island City House complex and form a 'U' shape. The pool is in the center, along with a lovely brick courtyard where breakfast is laid-out every morning.

    Surrounded by trees and fencing, the pool is very private and tropical...just don't let the tiled gator bite your toes!
