Awaiting our next trip back
by A TripAdvisor Member
My wife and I have stayed at the Key Lime Inn two times in the past two years. We absolutly love the Inn. The pool is great and usually not very crowded. Always enough chairs to go around. Although we do not spend much time in the room we find them to be quite nice for the price.
We have stayed at other places in Key West and for the price the Key Lime Inn is the best going. Why chance staying somewhere else when we know what to expect at Key Lime Inn.
Not sure when we'll get back to Key West but on our next trip we'll be statying at the Inn.
Lovely, close to the action AND affordable

What more can I say? Lovely, neat, clean, QUITE, and affordable. The Key Lime Inn is 2 walking blocks from the noisy, exciting hub of Key West, Duval Street, yet whenever we turned into the grounds off Truman Avenue, we would feel as if we were returning to our own Island Oaisis. Contrary to what I had read in some other reviews, we found the staff to be quite charming, accomodating and hospitable. If we hadn't bought a timeshare during this trip, this would become our ONLY place to stay upon future trips to Key West. The Key Lime Inn was as scrumptious as it's namesake confectionary! We give it 6 thumbs up!!
An Oasis in Old Town, but Rooms Nothing to Write Home About

The property is definitely charming - a very old town feel. Thick vegetation forms a barrier between the Inn and busy Truman street. The pool was immaculate. Breakfast was simple: bagels, toast, muffins, danishes with spreads. The standard queen room was noticeably clean, but very small, with a tiny bathroom. Shower only, no tub, and the sink was in the bedroom. Bright wall color, but only one picture in the entire room gave a sparse feel. Carpet must be indoor/outdoor - have never seen anything like it in a hotel before. Don't stay at the Key Lime Inn for the room, which seemed a little sub-standard compared to the rest of the property. Everything else about the Key Lime Inn, though, gets a two thumbs up.
Perfect place for my honeymoon!!

We went to Key West for our honeymoon and we stayed at the Key Lime inn. It was the perfect little spot in crazy Key West. We stayed out late and came back to our romantic quiet little cottage. The rooms were very clean and the managment were very friendly. I cant wait to go back!!! : )
Outstanding!

We just got back from the Key Lime, and what a pleasant experience! Service and staff was great! These rooms are nice and clean and have cold A/C! We spent 5 nights in a deluxe King room, we enjoyed the private patio, secluded location of our room (Maloney House),nice pool, we went swimming every morning. If you want to really be close to the heart of Duval, this might be a little far for you. Sloppy Joes is about a 25 minute walk, we enjoyed our walking or crawling up Duval! You can still be at several nice restaraunts and bars in 10 minutes or less. We have stayed at other 3 or 4 star resorts in Key West and won't do it again we paid $129.00 per night at the Key Lime, this room any where else in Key West would be $200.00 plus per night. So go enjoy yourself at the Key Lime Inn!
A little slice of paradise!

We've never booked a hotel on-line, much less one based on the opinions of a website such as this, but I can tell you, we certainly will again! The Key Lime Inn was exactly as the pictures on-line appear, and our stay was exactly as I'd hoped. Quiet, secluded and relaxing! It's referred to as a B & B, but all rooms had their own bathrooms, just like a hotel, although our room had only a shower, no tub. Our room was in the lower level of the white "mansion" which was a disappointment initially because I fell in love with the picture of room 20 - the yellow king sized bed cottage with the little deck from their website. However, our room was perfect, even more secluded, since it faced the back of the house and not the parking lot. (Try to avoid rooms 1, 2, & 3, since they are essentially IN the parking lot.) I felt like I was at an upscale sleepaway camp! The grounds are shady and private and the short trek to the pool down "Coconut Lane" past little cottages made me feel like a camper. The breakfast by the pool is simple, but filling. And who can resist a mama hen and her six chicks pecking for crumbs at your feet? A more substantial breakfast can be had, if desired, just a block or two down at the Deli Restaurant on Simonton at Truman for a reasonable price ($4-5). I had anticipated "trouble" with the staff since some reviews noted a standoffish feel, but the girls we dealt with upon arrival and departure were friendly, although not overly, and the housekeeping staff was also friendly, but barely English speaking. Lot of nods, smiles and gesturing. Overall, a wonderful experience, not one we'll share with our four kids, since that defeats the purpose and there were NO kids during the week we stayed here (whew), but one we'll repeat when it's time for mom and dad to get away again. Enjoy - you won't be disappointed!
Wonderful- all we expected and more

Fantastic, booked this guest house as a direct result of reviews on this web site & we weren't disappointed, In fact we ended up staying an extra night. The staff are very pleasant, you don't even know they are there unless you need them. It was worth the extra money going for the deluxe king room, we thought some of the standard rooms near the pool looked a bit dark and crowded. The whole site was clean and maintained to a very high standard. Lovely colonial style buildings very close to Duval Street and some great restaurants. Highly recommended.
Great place - cottages are just perfect!

This was a great place - loved the individual cottage me and my fiancee got - very romantic. Can't speak highly enough of the cabin and the service was good too. Nice and close (20 minute pleasant walk even at 2 a.m.) to the happening part of Duval St.

Key West Accommodation
by teddyaderwich
I am looking at staying at Duval Gardens, Duval Street, Key West. Has anyone ever stayed here - what's it like? We are looking at having a King Room, Poolside for 13 nights over New Year/January.
I have stayed in Key West for just two nights before - at the Key Lime Inn, which I loved - but they do not have availability until early January - and I would prefer to just stay in one place for the full duration of our stay.
Any suggestions for places to visit will be extremely welcome.
