Clothing optional pool

Wife and I stayed at the Pilot House from February 1st until the 9th of 2004 to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We booked the Attic Suite as it has its own deck overlooking the area complete with a hot tub, table, chairs and umbrella and two recliners to sunbathe. Nice place for breakfast and cocktails. There are a bunch of stairs to climb to get to the attic however. We did peak in other rooms in the Mansion and the poolside Cabanas all of which were very nice. This has some web pages listing this as a “Bed and Breakfast” but it is not.

Unique Quality: Some pros include; a super location, clean and well kept, friendly staff, and a clothing optional pool.(so is the hot tub, which is huge!)
Some cons are that the pool is very refreshing (not heated and cold),limited sunning areas as the beautiful trees on the property block the sun except for a few areas. and the lack of the “breakfast.” The B&B concept lends to meeting others and some B&B’s even do happy hours. The price is a bit more then average perhaps due to the clothing optional aspect. Nudity is only allowed around the pool area which means you could walk from your Cabana to the pool but nowhere else, except we did on our attic deck. There was various stages of nudity, most were completely nude sunbathers. According to the staff that changes from time to time.
We will no doubt go back but I wish that they would heat the pool and trim back the trees so more people could sunbathe. An addition of at least a happy hour would be great ,breakfast would be even greater. I’d call to see if the trees have been trimmed and if not I’d go for the attic suite as you have full sun there.
