More about Celebrity Resorts Orlando
Good Resort but will get better
Being a owner who bought a 2 bedroom villa here, off the internet, and hadn't even seen it, I was pleasantly surprised. We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at celebrity resorts orlando. The villa was clean, and it had everything you could ask for, however it was dated. There is a lot renovations going on, our's was soon to be done. Overall the place was clean, the pools and grounds were well kept. Yes Clarion did let the place run down, but I can honestly say it is not as bad as some of the posts suggest. Like a previous post we looked at a renovated villa, and it looked great. the location to disney and the 192 was excellent. We will be back in 2 years, exchanging in Portugal next year.
I Love Orlando!
I came to Celebrity Resorts on March 6th 2003 and loved every minute! I came with my mum, her parents, step dad, step brother Joe, brother Lee and little cousin Matty. My step brother Joe, brother Lee and cousin Matty made friends with Orlando who is 16 who worked as Activity Staff at the resort and has a brother called Frankie. He was gorgeous and I really miss him. Apparantley he liked me loads (my step brother told me!) and I would love to get in contact with him. I really liked him but hardly spoke to him. Well Orlando, if you read this, please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.

My family visited Orlando/Kissimmee November 19-20, 2004 for the Orlando Classic Football Game. I read the reviews from this website and I was a little skeptical, but upon our arrival, I was very pleased. Our villa was very nice and spacious. We have 1 year old twins and they were able to move around to their hearts delight. It was very nicely decorated and had great appliance (GE and Whirlpool). I washed clothes and used the dishwasher and both worked well. I enjoyed my stay at the Celebrity Resort and will be staying their again on a return trip to Orlando. I did not get to partake in any activities or amenities (tennis courts and pool) because we had a busy weekend. I disliked the early 10 a.m. check-out. I would not rate it excellent because 1) the first playpen they gave us did not work and then they delivered the replacement to the wrong villa, 2) the towel bar in the restroom fell and there were enough place to hang wet towels, and 3) The shower head would not stay in place.
The worst vacation stay EVER!
Our one week stay at Celebrity Resort in Orlando was the worst vacation stay we have ever had! Our power kept going out (13 times in one week) and the manager was hostile and insulting...Mr. Randazzo. I wouldn't recommend this "resort" to my worst enemy and I consider everything on their website to be false advertisement.
This was the first time my family had been to Orlando and Disney and the memories we have of our trip are not pleasant due to our stay at this dump!
We were promised a refund for some of our timeshare but so far, 4 weeks later, we have seen nor heard nothing from them.
Very pleased with our stay
We just returned from our Orlando trip. We stayed at the Celebrity resort in Kissimmee and were very pleased. We would definitely stay there again. We stayed in a two bedroom with den and found it to be roomy and well maintained. We were six adults and never felt like we were in each other's faces. The master bath with the jacuzzi tub was a delight. The staff was pleasant and competant. We even requested a later checkout time and they were happy to give us an extra two hours. All appliances worked and it was great to have the kitchen. We ate all breakfasts and some dinners in our villa, which was a nice departure from eating out all the time. They told us that they are only renting out the rooms that have been remodeled, which was very different from the reviews we had read, so it looks like they've gotten the transition under control.
Going Back in Feb 05
My wife and I visited the resort in '04. We found it to be a perfect getaway. The resort had all the accomodations we could ask for i.e. washer-dryer, full kitchen with necessary supplies, full dinette, living room, and large bath. The staff was accomodating. The guests we met were friendly and enjoying their stay as well. The resort is convenient to EVERYTHING Central Florida has to offer. We particularly enjoyed taking in day trips for shopping, dinner shows, mystery theatre, and lots of sun. While I did some fishing, my wife loved the indoor/outdoor combination pool. It is a truly relaxing resort and has all that you need to have a wonderful vacation. It is probably not Five Star but they are upgrading and we look forward to a return trip next year to check it out. My wife had been reluctant to take winter vacations but is already looking forward to the return trip in '05. If you want to relax and enjoy a vacation with good people and not too much glitz, this is a good choice.
Not horrible but certainly not the best
Wish I had known about this website before we booked at this property. It might have given me the chance to look elsewhere before booking this location. While certainly not the worst place I have ever stayed, it was far from the best. When I booked, I booked as the Clarion Spa Suites, although when we arrived it appeared to be in transition, as some of the Clarion signage appeared to have been recently removed. This may have factored in to some of the lack of enthusiasm on the part of the staff, I don't know. I do think that the resort has potential, but would need a lot of attention to become a first class destination.
Found the lobby/desk area clean and appealing. Front desk staff was friendly, though not as helpful as I've found in many other resorts I've stayed in. There was no chance to get into our room prior to posted check-in time, and due to the fact that anyone who had arrived earlier had been told to come back at 4:00 pm, there was a queue that required a bit of a wait, given the short-staffed desk crew.
We stayed in a 3 bedroom suite, and upon opening the door the decor screamed late 1960's and definitely in need of updating. I almosted expected to find the Brady Bunch in the living room when we got in there. Carpeting showed signs of wear, and woodwork had been marked up in places, with gouges in some of the interior doors that appeared to have been there for some time. The bathroom door off of the master bedroom was a 'pocket door' and the hardware was in disrepair, causing the door to be hanging by only one of the brackets. To slide it shut you had to lift the side of the door, and then it still wouldn't completely close. A call to maintenance brought a quick enough response but we were informed that the repair would have to wait a day. At the end of our week there it had yet to be resolved. The rooms were not uncomfortable, but the only entry doors were straight off the parking spaces, with none off of the interior side of the unit. The noise of the parking lot and guests coming and going carried clearly into the unit. There was a walkway off of the interior side that led to the pool and reception area, but because of the lack of a door to access it, one had to use the parking lot to get to these and any other place you wished to go in the resort.
Nothing spectacular. There were some utilitarian palms and shrubs, but nothing that really spoke to any effort to make the grounds truly appealing. I never used the pool, but on a trip to the reception area I did walk through, and I will say that it appeared th be clean and well-kept. The main entrance had an attractive fountain in the center of a circular drive. This had been freshly painted white and made a nice first impression. Unfortunately, as we were checking out, a maintenance worker in a golf cart whipped into the drive from another part of the parking lot and slid the bumper of the cart right across the fresh paint leaving a very noticable large black scuff.
The feeling that I had regarding our stay here was that there was just no real pride or effort taken to keep this resort in top shape. Watching the golf cart get bounced off of the freshly painted fountain really seemed to sum up what I perceived to be the prevailing attitude, that the staff just didn't really care all that much. In an area where the choices for accomodations are as bountiful as Kissimmee, I know through my visits that there are many places that offer a far better experience than what we found at this resort. Thankfully, with all that there is to do in the area, we did not spend a great deal of time in the resort itself. To be fair, I can say that I was not uncomfortable, and that the unit we were in was not dirty. It was just neglected in need of updating and enthusiasm on the part of the staff. Maybe the lack of support from the parent company is what caused the laissez-faire attitude of their people, but whatever the reason, I know of a number of places that I would stay in the area before I would even think of returning to this one.
Need upkeep & repair
We checked in on 11/26 for two days. The vertical blinds are missing "verticals", anyone could see into the bedroom. The wall lamps are laying on the night stand, we had to use the light from the bathroom to see. We set the air conditioner for at 65 degrees, the coolest temperature was 78 degrees the entire time. The kitchen floor is dirty. The couch & love seat are badly worned and need to be replaced. The bar stool chairs are soiled. There are spider webs in the window. The walls need to be painted. The towel rack is falling from the wall. When the problem was brought to their attention, the matter was not handled.
Stay away!!!!!! Not A Hotel These Are Time Share Units
A bunch of kids running the front desk. They have no clue whats going on. When you complain about something. Their defense is, THE UNITS ARE PRIVATE OWNED. WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER WHAT GOES ON IN THOSE UNITS. WE WILL SEND SOMEONE OUT TO TAKE A LOOK AND SEE IF SOMETHING CAN BE DONE. This is not a Hotel. These units are privately owned. Our unit was run down and smelled like an ash tray. The bed spread was dirty. so I complained, the house keeper came out and retrieved it never to replace it (not that it matters the A/C didn't work). The furniture was worn and broken. The carpets where soiled and worn thin. When I ran the jacuzzi tub, black mold came out of the jets. About the only possitive thing I can say about our unit is, that the kitchen was well equiped and exceptionally clean. Other than that this place was a total dump. Stay away.
We stayed in the resort from Dec 4-12.2004. I read the other reviews prior to going and was scared at what I might find. I called and voiced my concernes and was told that the unts I was in were under renovation. I explained that I did not want to stay in a construction area and I was relocated with no problem. When we got to our room I thought it was nice and roomy. The master suite has privacy from the other rooms and the tub jets in both bathrooms worked great. Ask to stay in the main building they are the nicer units. The resort is close to the grocery store so we saved alot of money with eating breakfast in the room. All appliances worked including the air conditioning. I will book again on my return trip!!!!!!! We had a 2 br 2 ba suite with study. Our room really looked like the picture. We asked to see the new units and they were even nicer. I would give the new remodeled units a perfect 10. Hope I get one on those next time!!!!!
