by gkitzmil
Okay -- it you are beachside the mosquitoes are not too bad but they do have cases of West Nile, etc. so just in case. And when I go to an outside bar like Conchy Joe's I always spray on some repellant. Sorry but I did get some bites shorts, comfortable shirts from T's to whatever THIS is a place to relax

A fun little neighborhood place
by spartan about Chili's Bar and Grill
Yes I know that it's a chain restaurant, but you gotta remember that I was vacationing in the Melbourne/Palm Bay in the late 80's. Chili's Grill & Bar is a fun, little neighborhood place to eat, drink, hang out and laugh with friends. For starters, try the Awesome Blossom (a colossal onion sliced, hand-battered & fried served with seasoned sauce) or the Wings Over Buffalo) (a pound of spicy chicken drummettes with bleu cheese dressing...yummy!!!).
If you are watching your weight, try the Crispy Chicken Salad (crispy chicken breast with mandarin oranges, water chestnuts, green onions, toasted almonds & crispy rice noodles, tossed in a ginger-sesame dressing).
And finally, the dinners. Tuna Steak Sandwich (it's a is a grilled, line-caught tuna steak, lettuce, tomato & special dressing with fries). The burgers, oh the burgers...lol...try these in no particular order of preference, they are all delicious: Oldtimer (The Original Chili's Burger...mustard, shredded lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion and cheddar cheese if you want), Mushroom Swiss Burger (fresh sautéed mushrooms, aged Swiss cheese, mayo, shredded lettuce, tomato, & pickle), and last but not least try the Bacon Burger (bacon, aged cheddar, mayo w/ shredded lettuce, tomato & pickle). All of these burgers come with seasoned fries.
The Public Beaches
by jadedmuse
Although the beaches of Indialantic are not beautiful by any stretch of the imagination, they do offer warm Atlantic waters, a fairly wide open, sandy beach front, and a few eateries and surf shops across the street.
The atmosphere is very casual and laid back. You won't see many volleyball competitions or that sort of thing. You'll most likely see a few fishermen casting a reel out into the ocean, with the usual heron perched next to them, waiting to see what the tide brings in...or the reel.
