In 1715 SPanish ships sank near here and lost MILLIONS in gold and treasures. Much has been recovered and is now on display in two museums. The other Museum is the Mclarty Treasure museum (see it under my "general tips"). The McLarty is more historic. This Mel Fisher museum also shows recovered gold!

I've heard about Meg O'Malley's for Years. Finally stopped for a special lunch. I eat seafood when I am near the beach but my wife had the Kilkenney Sandwich -- corned beef and cabbage, like a Reuben but cabbage not kraut. Most appropriate since part of her family is from Kilkenney, IR.
This is truly a popular local spot with quite a few beers on tap (naturally we had a Guinness) and very good food. Irish pub decor and friendly staff.
I did not see that on Friday I could have had steamed oysters for $4!! Very savory corned beef with cabbage on rye with sauces.,
Great bread pudding with THREE wonderful sauces: dark caramel raisin sauce, creamy Irish whiskey sauce, Rasperry sauce (we don't usually indulge but it was a special occaision so it was sent to us at no cost).
The shrimp and crab cake was WONDERFUL -- you could easily taste the combined flavor of the seafood and I had mine ' blackened.' Tasty!
indian harbor beach is located a mile east of downtown eau gallie at the intersection of eau gallie blvd. (SR 518) and SR A1A. the town of indian harbor beach has a number of free beach accesses along SR A1A. indian harbor beach is usually not as crowded as nearby indialantic and melbourne beaches.
william gleason founded the town of eau gallie in 1857. he built this victorian home in 1886. the william gleason home is one of the oldest homes in brevard county and is listed on the national register of historic places. today the william gleason house is home to the old pineapple inn.
