Come on Miami-Is the business class lounge inside or outside of the security area-Anyone who knows please respond as it used to be outside and a pin to get to the flight. Has it been moved inside after security?-Thanks-Gene

Gene, I hate to ask...but did you call the airport? Try Volunteer Ambassadors or Airport Customer Service at 305-876-7858...and if you did try and got nowhere...sorry ;-)
Oh, and if the person you ask doesn't know about the Air France Club (because there isn't one that I know of), ask if you can be routed to the Delta club (by phone) because the Air France website says that you use the Delta lounge in Miami...

I just called the number and got my answer-The lounge is outside of the security area and a rep from the airline comes and gets us and walks us through security--Thanks for the info so I can now let the family know-Thanks-Gene

Although I am sure that the airport employee knows best, that's weird, since the Air France website says to use the Delta club, and the Delta website says that the Delta club is inside security...huh, something wrong on the Internet, go figure ;-)

Driving Around

The public transport is rather skeletal, so if you need to get around the city, you will almost certainly need to drive. Traffic can be bad in some areas - if you are heading to the airport from MB or downtown area, take 112 instead of Dolphin Expressway - you will thank me :) Highways are confusing to say the least, but the street grid is not: the city is divided into four quadrants (NW, NE, SW, SE) and all the streets (W-E) and avenues (N-S) are numbered, which makes finding a place relatively straightforward.
Hard Rock Cafe

We had just a look at the bayside and at the Hard Rock Cafe but we didn´t go in. We prefered to stay in one of the little bars at the bayside marketplace,. All the bars are open to the sea...they seem to have the whole year good weather.

The smallest Post office in the United States is located in the Everglades at Ochopee/Rte 41-Tamiami Trail.There is a plaque and the post office is still in operation.A great photo opportunity.Speaking of photos,head a little west (towards Naples) and you will see a gallery on your left owned by Clyde Butcher.He is a renowned photographer of the Everglades.If you cant carry or afford one of his orginals they also sell beautiful postcards and calenders.

Not a touristic attaction on it's own, but very charming is the Bayside Front. Here along the piers of the yaught-harbour are many little and larger restaurants, cafés and bars. The Terraces have wonderful view over the superb boats that lay in the bay. Especialy in the evening it's like a fairytale.
