Downtown Miami
by cobrioc
Miami's downtown skyline is considered one
of the nation's most beautiful, or at least most colorful.
At night , the towering skyscrapers are lit in neon , and most unmistakable symbol of downtown is the NationsBank Tower. Nationsbank Tower , other funky downtown neon lighting comes from the Metromover's rainbow illuminated 4,4- mile track, which makes a circuit of downtown.
Packing List

Less clothes the better;) Sunscreen $$$$$ helps a lot especially if you like to do anything besides sit on the beach. The clubs are expensive, and the shopping can really damage the cash reserves as well.
Rock Climbing
by goingsolo
Extreme Rock Climbing is an indoor rock climbing gym in south miami. Its great for beginners and even has some routes for more experienced climbers as well.
Anyone who hasn't climbed before has to take an intro class. The cost is $35 and includes all equipment. You're also allowed to use the gym for the day once you've paid and taken the class. Otherwise, the rates are $12 per day or $40 for a monthly pass. Equipment rental is extra.
Huge mall on the outskirts
by nomadig about Dadeland Mall
Malls seem to be the best choice nowadays to shop as much as you can in a condensed amount of time. Miami's biggest mall is located in the southern suburbs of the city. As usual, the mall is designed to be visited by car, but the local train system has a station a few hundred meters from the mall. You just need to cross the huge parking lots to get in.
The mall is like any other mall; there are all the normal chains, a few department stores, such as Nordstrom and Macy's, and a food garden that serves fast-foodish portions. There is an excellent cookie counter in a coffeeshop, though.
There is no playground or any other children attractions, so smaller shoppers might get bored easily. Visiting Disney store helps, and there is a Toys'R'Us nearby, on the other side of the train station.
