Also worth noting is that the buses do not give change, you can of course pay more than the correct fare and ride on the bus, but you will not get change. Train stations have vending machines where you put notes in and get a token, you the put the token in a slot and you get quaters out of the vending machine, it's handy to have plenty of quaters but make sure the note is the right way up to make the vending machine accept it.
If you catch a train and intend catching a bus from a station make sure you get on the right bus as the number will be the same but they will be going in opposite directions (to the centeral station or from centeral station) there will be two stops at the train station for the same number bus.
Buses J (route 110) and K (route 111) connect to run betwee MIA and South Beach. Also see bus 236 (Airport Owl) which runs between South Beach and MIA in the late night to early hours of the morning. Allow yourself plenty of time if you want to catch the bus to or from the airport.
Buses k,m,c and s run from South Beach to Government Centre Station At West Flagler (NW/NE 1st st.) Street. Government centre is the ceteral area in Downtown where the Library (free internet), Miami Dade Cultural Centre, Metro Mover Station (which is free to rie on), Train Station and the Dade County Court House are located. The buses mostly stop in the bus depot, but some buses stop in the streets across the road adjoining the depot, ask a driver if your not clear on where to catch a bus.
