Where the Beach Began ...
The Fontainebleau Hilton Resort has been the crown jewel of Miami Beach since its inception in 1954. Long before the trendy street cafes and nightlife scene erupted on South Beach, the famed Fontainebleau was the home to movie stars, politicians, major celebrities and more. Glitzy, historic, impressive, comfy. Memories of classic James Bond and rat pack history from the 50īs makes this place something special. I've stayed here as a traveller and I've also organised a conference here. The facilities are great and it makes you feel good, even though it is expensive. Highly recommended if you can afford it. Be aware, it's not the newest hotel, so there is a feel of grandeur possibly past it's prime, but hey, if you appreciate the history then you'll love it.
