The 1949 retro-style Catalina Hotel attracts a trendy, young crowd in town on business or to enjoy the South Beach scene. The second floor, accessible via a winding staircase, is a great spot for people-watching on Collins Avenue.
Complimentary amenities include airport shuttle service, evening happy-hour drinks in the lobby bar, beach towels, and chairs. An outdoor sundeck offers day beds, lounge chairs, a splash pool, and a poolside bar. The hotel’s Catalina Beach Club, next to the beach, provides complimentary beach chairs; complimentary pool and beach towels are available at the hotel. Wireless Internet access is available in public areas of the hotel.
Catalina's rooms are in two three-story buildings, they all have hardwood floors and all-white minimalist décor with color accents. Rooms include Tempur-Pedic Swedish mattresses, down comforters, Belgian-cotton sheets, minibars, refrigerators, flat-screen TVs, MP3 docking stations, and wireless Internet access.
The hotel charges a $5 resort fee (plus tax) per day which is due upon check-out. The fee includes the following:
