I would propose that you open :

http://maps.google.com/

and go to Miami

then use "GET DIRECTIONS" that gives you routes from your start address to American Airlines Arena @25.781364,-80.187893 by car, walking AND PUBLIC TRANSPORT.

If you are not going to hire a car, catch the bus with the word DOWNTOWN in the front. Cost is 2.00 and buses have air-conditioning and are fit to transport desabled persons. Depending on what part of Collins Avenue you are, a bus ride to American Airlines Arena can last for about one hour.

Travel Tips for Miami Beach

The Beach Itself!

by rmdw

Venturing out onto the beach at the southern end of South Beach and strolling along the water northward is something I never get tired of doing. The natural beauty, combined with the majestic hotels is a definitely a sight to be seen!

Be Halloween Crazy

by universalgypsy

As a lot of people know , Halloween in the US is a BIG deal. Miami beach is no exception. Ocean drive is the long catwalk that eventually leads to Lincoln road. This is the place to sit and watch ( if you have reserved a table) all the freaks go by. Th costumes range from scary to barely there, i.e. body paint, a g-string and some wings. The most important thing is to have fun, be crazy and show yourself!

Picking Coconuts

by Gypsystravels

There are many things in Miami Beach that you really don't see anywhere else...and watching these men picking these coconuts right here on Ocean Drive one morning was quite bizarre to say the least.

There was a crowd around the group of men, one guy was up on the palm tree, the others were catching them in a net and another was putting them in shopping carts.

Only in Miami Beach folks, only in Miami Beach.

Good food, drinks and a lot of beautiful people.

by Dutchnatasja about The Clevelander

The Clevelander has an outdoor cafe, five glass-block neon bars and a swimming pool. If it is the sporting events you are interested in, they’ve got something for you too, a complete Sports Bar with 12 TVs featuring the latest in sports. The Clevelander also has a full-service restaurant with sidewalk dining. There is also a dance floor. It is located in the heart of South Beach. It is right on Ocean Drive and across the road from the beach. I must say; Great location to watch people, to enjoy the (live) music and to drink some cocktails. No dress code.
