Located on Collins Ave, which is 1 block north of the beach, the location of this hotel is very convenient to nightclubs, restaurants and of course, the beach.
No rooms have beach views, but it's definetly worth staying at this gem if you want to save a bundle and stay somwhere clean and spacious!
News Cafe, the people watching mecca on Ocean Drive is less than a 2 min walk - 1 block.
Other attractions like the Art Deco Welcome center, Mango's and Lario's are a block away from the hotel.
There are nice courtyards in the hotel complex where you can sit down and relax with a glass of wine.
Happy hour every evening from 6-10pm where free drinks are served to patrons - Bartenders are exceptionally friendly and free drinks include martinis, cosmos, gin & tonic and mixed drinks with rum like pina colada.
Breakfast is included in the room price and consists of toast, jam, orange juice, bananas, apples and coffee/tea. Omlettes are extra ($3.50).
We were lucky to get booked into a room on the Lily guesthouse side of the hotel - These rooms are much nicer (way more spacious) than the rooms on the Leon side. So be sure to ask for the Lily rooms if they are available.
The hotel has free pickup from the airport - Call the hotel and confirm the pickup times when you book.
Also, we found that the cheapest deals are when you book directly through the hotel either by calling or through thier website. We paid $125 for a room with 2 queen beds, marble floored bathroom (small but very clean), kitchenette w/wet bar and TV.
