South Beach, best area, best part of the beach (crowded though), best water clarity. Lincoln Street is the perfect place to look for restaurants in South Beach. Enjoy!

Yes indeed, South Beach is pretty amazing, not just for the beaches - which are quite pretty - but for the entire scene there and inland from there. The "trick" is to find parking. Let me share a little known secret with you - hopefully too many won't see it and thus not let it be a secret anymore.

Use Google Maps to find the intersection of 12th Street and Lenox Avenue (it's on the NW side of Flamingo Park). With a few exceptions, there is unlimited free parking there. Yes, there's a little bit of a walk to get to the beach but it sure beats driving around for an hour to find a space!!

Travel Tips for Miami Beach

More Sandcastle FActS!

by Hexepatty

Apparently the sand castle took 7 weeks to make and can stay up a LONG time w/ constant upkeep. Victor has a guard there -- or himself -- 24 hours a day. When it rains, they cover it. Constant upkeep is going on daily. At night, there are lights in the sand castle to make it GLOW. Must have been quite a sight, alone on a halloween night, to see this!

recommended staff to be put in your luggage!!

Light clothes are ideals during spring. However don't forget to put a sweater , coz during the nights it sometimes gets cold. sunglasses are a must !!! Don't forget to have an umbrella if you are planning to travel Miami during spring . There is often rain due to tropical weather.

Check for special promotions...

by pulgaron

Check for special promotions onthe beach. This particular weekend Terra.com was having a soccer tournament. They also set up a grand stand at the beach and held a salsa dancing contest with $500 to the winning couple. Several local artists stop by and sang for the crowd.

Dancing in Bed

by jackfruit about B.E.D

A guy on the street was handing out free entrance fliers to the B.E.D night club and so we decided to see what it was all about. Just the name made me very curious. "Sex and the city" had the Manhattan version of B.E.D and so naturally I was dying to see what this one would be like.....

Well, getting in for free with the free coupon was harder than we thought. After a bit of flirtacious back-and-forth with the doorman, we finally were allowed into a huge smoke filled room flanked with beds - beds covered in white linens and canopies - and a bar area at the far end.

Music was hip hop.

Although this nightclub is marketed as a restaurant AND nightclub, I wouldnt call it anything but a 20's something hiphop/trance nightclub.

Well, also found out that B.E.D stands for Beverages Entertainment and Dining....??? Usual nightclub attire. I doubt if you can get in with jeans and sneakers!

Jazid
One of the few places to hear live jazz in Miami, Jazid's vibe is as cool
as the tunes.
