I'm thinking of staying here on my first vacation in USA in Miami Beach (8-9 days).

Has anyone stayed here, and can it be recommended?
I'm planning on booking a single room.
It will be in july.
It has one of the best possible locations in South Beach. A lot of action, parties, and excellent place to make some friends. It's very near to the beach, only one block and close to lots of bars and pizza restaurants. The rooms are small and depending on taste may need a little decorating but it's clean and has very comfortable beds and a flat screen tv. The do have an incidental $50 deposit for keys.

I love the colours of Miami. They are bright in all kinds of way, wherever you look. Look at the picture. It wouldn't have this colour in another city. So, every time I’m in Miami, I enjoy the colours of the city. It makes me happy. I love the whole atmosphere of Miami. It makes me feel good. Miami Beach is truly a major international entertainment and cultural destination.
Culture Tip #1 (you will get more from these tips if you read them in order)
Miami Beach has a large Jewish population and is THE place to go to a Jewish deli (I’ll talk about that later). Miami Beach is also one of the few places in the US where you will see Orthodox and the more conservative Jewish people in traditional dress and will also come across some of their customs.
I’ve created several tips on the customs you are likely to see if your keep your eyes open. Please remember that I am a Catholic girl and while I’ve been questioning my friends about these practices for years I am sure my explanations are quite simplistic. I also need to note that ALL of Jewish people (in the world and South Beach) don’t practice these traditions and many of the traditions I will be discussing are those of the most “traditional” and do not necessarily reflect the general population. With that said…many of these traditions have a special place in my heart and memories and are worth discussing here.
The Judaism breaks down into different beliefs and practices just as the various Christian religions do. There are Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Haredi, Hasidic, Modern Orthodox and Samartianism Jews to name a few. The Orthodox and Hasidic sects are two of the most traditional and are the ones that often stand out from the general population in dress, practices and hair styles.
These various Jewish denominations differ in the degree to which they follow the Halakha or Jewish religious law. The Halakha covers biblical law, rabbinic law, customs, traditions, and even provides rules on daily life. The Jewish population in Miami Beach is quite diverse in their beliefs and practices and to the degree they follow Halakha.

If your limited on time in Miami, there is NO need to drive all the way to Key West. The Florida Keys start at Key Largo and run to Key West. About 1 1/2 hour drive from Miami is Islamorada ( mile marker 84). Escape from the Miami traffic,crowds and glitz and just kick back with a rum runner or cold Kalik Bahamian beer at one of the waterfront bars. No dress codes- no scene..just fresh seafood, cocktails and Fla. Keys sunsets. You can parasail, jetski and snorkel. Islamorada is world famous for its fishing-many come from all over just for this. Charter boats will take you out for an afternoon of deep sea fishing! Or a sunset sail on a private boat. For sunset , head to the Lorelei , where all the locals kick back to watch the sunset. Then off to dinner ( my favorite , the Islamorada Fish Company). Late evenings head over to the Holiday Isle Tiki Bar - famous for their parties and rum runners! You can close the place down!

The Shore Club is a hotel, with two excellent restaurants that I recommend by all means (Nobu: Asian; Ago:Italian) although you need to consider that they are both very expensive. The food quality, setting and service are definitely worth the prices though.
After a good meal, you can head to the Sky Bar (nightclub) or simply the few bars around the stunning pool and gardens, all also part of the Shore Club. Both these are hard to get into if you haven't had dinner there, don't know the bouncer or aren't a group of gorgeous five model girls, for example. This is the actual real South Beach scene, where the locals go to have post dinner drinks, to flirt, to see and to be seen. Dress as trendy, sexy and good as you can. You'll regret it if you don't!
