Scooter guys
by Shaft28
While in Miami Beach you will notice a fair amount of people on scooters. We deducted that 95% of those people were local teens to 20 year olds who couldn't get into the clubs but want to feel a part of the action. That are strictly cruisers.
Almost all the people on the scooters were late teen males, looking at girls. Nothing wrong with that, as we all did it too. But humerous all the same.
Just beware, they are terrible drivers and have little regard for you unless you have a skimpy bikini top on, and that is when they will crash. And you will see them crash.
We saw 2 head ons, 3 clips to the back of another scooter and I can't tell you how many collisions with cars or ped. Nothing major and not one really hurt, but dangerous all the same.
Don't think of using as a mode of transportation unless you just want to cruise the strip. Watching cheesey 20 year old guys with baggy pants on 90 degree heat try to pick up on any woman in yelling range. Hilarious, they have no game!
Sun Life Stadium
by Ewingjr98
Sun Life Stadium is home to the NFL Miami Dolphins, the Florida Marlins, and the Miami Hurricanes. The stadium has had a number of names since it was constructed in 1987: Land Shark Stadium, Dolphins Stadium, Pro Player Stadium, Pro Player Park and originally Joe Robbie Stadium.
The stadium was constructed and funded by former Dolphins owner Joe Robbie in 1987. It cost just $115 million to build, and it seats 75,000 people. The Florida Marlins were introduced as a Major League Baseball franchise in 1990 and they began play here that year.

Larios on the Beach
by Gypsystravels about Larios on the Beach
Larios is owned by Gloria Estefan and it's a great place to have some good Cuban food or for some drinks while enjoying the live latin band.
We were strolling along Ocean Drive and couldn't resist the music and we decided to go in and enjoy a drink and listen to the music for a little while.
Taxi
by Gypsystravels
Miami Beach is a very walkable city, but if you really or need or want to avoid walking (high heels will do that), you can definitely find taxis everywhere.
We used a taxi from our hotel to dinner since it was still raining a bit and we were all very hungry. We also used a taxi the morning of our departure to the airport. The ride was quick and cost about $35.
You can hail a taxi all over Miami Beach or right outside your hotel door. Be aware that Miami has implemented a fuel surcharge of $1.50 due to the high cost of gas.
