Fantastic Place!

My family and I stayed at the Bellasera in August 2004, and it was wondeful. We were able to vacation right be the hurricanes hit. But the hotel was very pretty with nicely kept grounds. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautiful. Very comfortable beds, and extremely clean, with an awesome kitchen. Everything you will need. The Bellasera was comfortable and relaxing. Just like being at home. I would definetly come back and would recommend this place to anyone.
Absolutely Beautiful!

we found Bellasera by accident on the net from a trip advisor review. We were a little apprehensive as the pictures looked nice, but did not really show us alot of the hotel. We originally were going to stay for a night, but once taken to our suite which was just beautiful, and a steal for the price, we immediately changed our booking to 2 nights. Excellent facilities, very near to the centre of things and a really good breakfast. Highly recommended and we will be returning again very soon.

We stayed at the Bellasera for a few nights earlier this month. The property was lovely and well-maintained. The swimming pool area was very attractive and the condos were very spacious. The furnishings inside were on the twee side but there was everything you could need - the kitchen was very well equipped. It was an easy walk to 5th Avenue South in the evening and the beach was a few minutes by car. The staff were polite and helpful.

Picked this hotel because of the good reviews on this site and hope that it would live up to the pictures and videos. It did more than that, the two-bedroom condo room we had was fantastic and matched the pictures exactly. The kitchen area was equipped with every piece of equipment you could imagine needing and more. The provision of two bathrooms is excellent, especially when you have an 18 year-old who takes hours to get ready. There was plenty of storage space with a hugh walk-in closet in the master bedroom. The maid service was great with even the tea towels being folded into beautiful shapes every day. It was nice to have the screened in balcony.
The location is good, being within walking distance of upmarket shops and restaurants, but also only a short car ride away from the nearest supermarket and shopping mall. The beach is only 10 minutes drive away.
The staff were friendly and efficient and kept the place immaculate, however, it would have been nice if there had been a poolside service, it felt a bit awkward walking into the bar/restaurant area in swimming attire to try and order drinks, but the pool was a good size with plenty of loungers and towels.
We had a couple of niggles during the holiday, but nothing that would stop us staying there again.
Oasis

The "suites" are beautiful and comfortable. The location of the hotel seems a bit odd at first, sitting right off Highway 41, but they've created a little oasis, and it's within walking distance of the historic part of Naples and just blocks from the beach. The staff is excellent. I was assisted with everything from quarters for the parking meters at the beach to an internet cord for the high speed internet access in my room. The robes the hotel provides are glorious! I got a very good deal on the room by booking through the hotel's website. I admit that made me even happier with this hotel, though I would have loved it regardless.

Travelling in July with children
by shirleymacrina
I'd like any helpful tips for travelling in Naples with children. I'll be alone with a 10yo and 3yo, and we do not speak any Italian. We will be flying out of Naples after an excursion. Any helpful tips about a hotel, airport maneuvering and weather in late July would be most helpful.
Thanks,
Macrina

Hi im yet to get to Naples myself but from my friends who have been or are from there and from other already readups for previous planned trips i would say that - in addition to checking out VTers pages and what tips are already written for hotel recommendations - I would add security recommendations - with two children make sure you are vigilant and that they are not wandering about or causing you to be in positions that you are less observant and careful with your handbag, belongings and luggage, coach them to be attentive and watch the traffic and so on, - and also the heat - its likely to be quite hot in July so apart from having clothing that promote comfort that this also doesnt distract you to take care of your belongings.
so if youre having to carry your 3 year old that you dont have handbags just over an arm and so on but securely around/over your body and i guess as much as i dont get into moneybelts or bother with them then maybe in this case it might be necessary.
all the best. i love Italy and its scenery and history and architecture but can be a bit of hard work but not at all impossible or too difficult without knowledge of italian.
do try to get the Museum of naples! full of amazing stuff from around the area! and any possibilit of getting down to the Amalfi coast? its not so far and travelling around is cheap and very beautiful - have a look at my Positano, Sorrento, Amalfi and Ravello pages if you like!
bye for now.

I agree with the above. In the best of conditions Naples is chaotic and a bit dirty (my personal experience) but in sweltering July and maybe with the garbage crisis still unresolved or having started again you will require all your wits about.

We enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful resort. The staff there speaks English and are very helpful . They will provide shuttle service for free to several points in Naples. It was very warm when we were in Italy July 2005.

Thank God someone figured it out. I was totally confused about the dirt and traffic. I used to live on Marco Island and regularly went into Naples. Probably one of the cleanest, safest and traffic free towns in USA.
