Park Shore Resort

Every morning at 11:00 am a free residents’ shuttle leaves for the nearby beach at Clam Pass Park, just south of the Registry Resort at the west end of Seagate Drive (just a bit too far to walk). It returns in the afternoon as well, though I’m not sure the exact time. I believe entrance is free to those on foot, but there is a small parking fee if you drive over yourself.

There’s also a great grilling deck, with several gas grills and plenty of dining tables if you choose to sit outside when your meal is finished cooking.

The tennis courts are behind the resort. I’m told there are also courts for basketball, raquetball & volleyball, though I didn’t see them in my brief visit.

The pool is open for your use, with plenty of deck chairs to go around. Off to the side is a nice hot tub in a gated area for which you’ll receive a key at check-in. It’s kept locked so kids won’t hurt themselves.

The units are all pleasantly decorated, and many are currently in renovation process. You’ll have your choice of 1 or 2 bedrooms suites, with fully supplied kitchens. Livingroom couches are hideabeds, for additional occupants. All balconies overlook the central landscaped area, with fish & turtles swimming in the moat, and a number of wild & semi-domesticated birds wandering aruong the lush landscape.

You can make yourself at home in this quiet, conveniently located condo - and by the way, save a bundle over dining out, which is not cheap in Naples! But there are lots of restaurants nearby should the mood grab you, and the lovely Waterside Mall is within walking distance too.

If you prefer a place where you can cook your own meals, not necessarily on the beach but certainly at a terrific rate, consider renting a condo unit at the Park Shores Resort. One of the few condo rentals that allows short-term rentals, this place is a bargain, especially for two or more traveling together. The private condo grounds are landscaped beautifully, with gardens etc. in the center & a moat with several bridges to cross over.
