Choose Someplace Else
There are several hotels in the area and I imagine they are pretty much the same. This particular hotel was almost empty when we were there so check-in was very quick. The receptionist did mention that the crib we had requested may not have been put in the room so call if it wasn't. It wasn't, we called, they brought a portable crib and left it for us to set up.
The room itself smelled very musty. It seemed clean but was a little grubby, just seemed very old. The small refrigerator with coffee maker on top was kept in the bathroom (yuck).
Breakfast which is usually included in the Choice Hotels was not included here. Free internet was but we didn't use it. Location was good - on 19N - across from Cracker Barrel. Other places within walking distance include McDonald's, Starbucks, Dunking Donuts, strip mall with grocery store, clothing store, barber, etc.
New Port Richey is a quaint little town on the westcoast of Florida about 30 miles northwest of Tampa. We got two big Wal-marts goin in and they just finished building a Walgreens on Main Street. Oh! boy were big time now. ;) Since the main attraction in Florida is Disney World in Orlando, many are only attracted to that area but, if you have the time we've got plenty of beaches. In fact I grew up near one of the best beaches in Florida Caladesi Island State Park in Dunedin a must see if you have the time.
