Silver Springs
"Only Worth seeing once"
Has beautiful scenery.. which is also at any state park in ocala...in florida at that... has the same kind of animals that zoos do. The buildings and grounds are pretty run down... everything is tourist prices, but the glass bottom boats are a must see.. and the employees live the minimun wage jobs... super friendly!
"Rainbow river/K.P. hole"
Located just next you Ocala our in Dunnelon. K.P. Hole is a small regulated swimming area on Rainbow river. 72 degrees year round... If it gets alittle crowded then go rent a tub! Float like 3 miles down river. If your a local like me then take 2 vehicles and your own tubs.... park one up there and one at the end... if not the tub rental place even offers pick-up with a little extra cost. Dont forget a snorkel! So many beautful things to find under the water as well.... sunken trees, tons of turtle, fish of all sizes.. you can even find little treasures like watches, and jewelry that people drop over board.
"Santos Trailhead"
Great paths for mountian biking for all novice to beginners. Hikers and dogs are welcome, they even have horse trail.. newly added camping area, but since its located right off 441..i think you would hear traffic all night instead on nature. Across the street is a nice little quicke' mart with a woody look. Across the street to the right side of the Park is the old rock quary which is also good for more intense mountian biking, or just getting lost in the woods. There are alot of abandoned cars out there which makes it allite scary, but aliite mysterious! If you dont have a bike you can rent on just down the road 441 at santos bike shop.
