A room with a view by alza this place has monorail running through it and that impressed me no end. Turned out to be useful too. Say you fall off the sidewalk at Disneyworld, no problem! the monorail bring you right back to your room and they've got ice on each floor so you can put an ice-pack on your knees while your friends go for a nice, fun dinner. Don't cry! tomorrow's another day. :-)
if you lose you Vanity case, just call the Front Desk. They'll deliver a Mickey Mouse Tooth Brush and a Minnie Mouse (or Goofy? ) toothpaste tube before you can say "Mirror Mirro on the Wall" Theme: HotelAddress: not far from Cinderella castleDirections: in Disneyworld

View of hotel from across pond you can walk around by greetings After 7+ hours of flying I was tired and needed a place to get freshened up before my meeting. I was 5 hours early for my meeting and 6 hours too early to check in. I decided to find my hotel and see if I was in the right place. I was. Shyly I asked if there was any way I could check in early and they said sure, and sent me off to have free breakfast while they processed my paperwork. I came back and was handed my key without delay. Customer service is a high priority. Summary: If I return to Orlando, I will definitely return to the Airport Hawthorn Suites. Great job guys!
Access through all outside doors from the parking lot was available by use of your room's card key. This worked well because if you come and go, you can use the door closest to where you parked & get out of the heat / rain etc. I noticed no roaches or other bugs at all. Everything was clean. I had everything I needed plus a lot that I never touched (see the link below for a list of complete features). Free local Orlando paper & USA Today near the lobby. A real concern to me as I booked this room was that I thought the airport noise would be a problem being only 1-2 miles from the runways. As it turned out, I only heard two jets - barely - and then only because I was actively listening for them. The rest of the time I heard none at all. The in-room air conditioner worked well and was the quietest of any hotel I've visited. Airport access was wonderful - either by car or by free shuttle. I saw the small exercise room ... not a gym, but sufficient if you want to do a stair climb, treadmill, stationary bike etc. I think I saw a TV in there. Very clean small kitchen with 2-burner electric stove, microwave, refrigerator / freezer, sink, coffee maker, dishes, etc. 2-TVs, radio, VCR player. Single bedroom unit - Rooms: *Medium size main living room with dining area and kitchen added at one end. *Generous sized bedroom with closet and lockable safe, mine had a King sized bed. *Separate vanity and toilet/shower rooms. Wonderful complimentary breakfast (until 9 or 10AM) - buffet style - not cooked to order, included scrambled eggs, sausage links, bacon, bagels, toast, coffee, OJ, apple juice, cold cereals with milk, hot cereal, biscuits and gravy, muffins, danish, I am sure I missed something. Lots of room in the dining area, with lots of windows and light. There is a bar for happy hour 5:30PM to 7:30PM that seemed well attended. Computer and internet access right in the room. Local weather, entertainment and etc access was free. Beyond that there was a charge. My cost staying alone was $84 on 6/14/04 Theme: HotelPrice: US$80-120 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: 7450 Augusta National Dr, Orlando, FL 32822Phone: (407) 438-2121Directions: Just outside the MCO Orlando Airport. Great Airport Access - turn right at the the first light then right again, go a few blocks and you are there. Virtually no airport noise at all!Website: http://hawthornsuitesairport.orlandofloridareservations.com/

Being a member of the Disney Vacation Club has been a wonderful investment for us because we love Disney World and are able to use our DVC points for stays around the world. During this visit (October, 2006) we used our DVC points to stay at the newest Disney resort hotel, "Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa." Located where the the Villas of the Disney Institute used to be, the Saratoga Springs is a brand new resort complex with new a new theme, new buildings, new landscape and geographical features, new restaurants, etc. The complex is similar to "Port Orleans," & "Old Key West" resorts in that there are many lodging buildings spread out over several acres, but the building containing the registration desk, lobby, & restaurants requires walking or driving to reach it. This new resort is based on the theme of Saratoga Springs, New York, and includes art and references throughout to the Saratoga Springs horseracing course there. The beautifully new Victorian buildings generally are 4 stories each, with elevator and are painted in pastel hues with gorgeous architectural details. There is a large central lake with fountains, landscaping and walkways, and lighting. Our building was called the "Paddock" and our room looked directly over the lake -- we had a beautiful balcony on which to enjoy all the sights. Disney bus service to all the parks is available at Saratoga Springs!
We were staying only one night at Saratoga Springs but I would have been happy to spend more nights there! We had a "Studio" room which included one queen size bed and a double pull-out sofa bed. (I can attest to the fact that the pull-out bed was extremely comfortable because I tried it!) When the sofa was not pulled out, it made a very nice sitting area with coffee table, TV, lounge chair, etc. The room also had a well-thought out small "kitchenette" with granite countertop, sink, microwave, small refrigerator, coffee pot, and cabinet stocked with paper plates, plasticware, and extra coffee. This was perfect for fixing morning coffee and small breakfast to sit out on the balcony with!! We didn't need anymore than this because we purchased the meal plan during this trip. There was also a vanity & dressing area, and a nice large bathroom. Everything was extremely new, comfortable, and attractive. I really loved the balcony at night because it was a great place to watch the fireworks! Mickey Express Bus service is now available to all Disney resorts from the Orlando airport!

Honeymoon suite by jessicadf I went to priceline.com and said, "3 Star for no more than $40/night" and... whoa... I got it! I was a little worried about how it would turn out... we drove up and saw that they're doing a little remodeling outside the lobby... but other than that, it was GREAT! The hotel is inside the Walt Disney World Resort and was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities one would expect from a 3-star hotel. The staff were really friendly and when I asked if the room I'd just been assigned was non-smoking, they apologized because it wasn't... and upgraded me. We got a king sized bed on the 14th floor, with a wonderful view of the lake and the light show that is Pleasure Island. Very Nice! Note: If you attempt to book a room at this hotel via their website, it will cost considerably more. The $40/night was what I was able to get through www.priceline.com.
The resort provides continuous complimentary transportation to all four major Walt Disney® World Theme Parks. The Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort Hotel boasts a heated pool, kiddie pool, play ground, restaurants, lounge, exercise room, business center, Internet Café, and Pizza Hut Express.

 | Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge: Animal Kingdom Lodge ~ A Small Taste of Africa
| |
 |
|
 |
NOTE: (February, 2007) Disney has announced that construction is in the works on the Animal Kingdom Villas which will be part of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC). Accommodations will be similar to the 4 or so floor plans in other Disney Vacation Club properties, however, floor plans will be even larger and the one-bedroom suites will now accommodate 5 people instead of 4. this will be a great benefit to families. The new DVC resort will include a new restaurant, water play area, and savannah. It is certain that the rooms will be decorated with an African theme. The Animal Kingdom Villas are scheduled to open late in 2008. Exactly where the villas will be located in relation to the original Animal Kingdom Lodge has not been revealed but it is likely to be somewhat close. One of the newer Disney resorts, Animal Kingdom Lodge is another good choice if you desire to stay close to the parks on Disney property and have some spectacular scenery at the same time. Built into a brushy, dry area, Animal Kingdom Lodge seems to fit into its surrounding. The interior of the lodge is unique and a striking feature are the large, suspended chandeliers which are made from colorful, African war shields! As you will see from the accompanying picture, the furnishing and accessories have been designed to give you the feeling of being inside of an African-type, lodge.
Animal Kingdom Lodge has a beautifully designed outdoor pool flanked by rocks and foliage. A large gift store can be found in the lodge and features many items made in Africa. At least 2 restaurants are also located in the lodge, Boma (a buffet-style eatery) and Jiko which features "new" African cuisine and serves South African wines. In fact Jiko recently received an award its extensive array of fine wines (2006). The real highlight of the Lodge is that it borders the Animal Kingdom park where animals from Africa can be seen. It is expensive, but getting a room overlooking the svelt and savannah is a top prize and you will possibly be rewarded by the sight of elephants, giraffe, rhinos or zebras within close view of your balcony. It may not be the real Africa, but it maybe as close as you'll ever get without crossing the Atlantic. After days of searching through the internet for an accomodation in Orlando an email from Mr. Michael (owner) that his vacation house in Kissimee is available for occupancy gave us a relief! A vacation house in Vista Del Lago was available for a 3 weeks stay. Arrangements was made through his team in Florida while payments and other concerns was directed to him. We were able to get a discount from him coz of our long stay. The house is really nice, clean and well maintained. A very homey atmosphere amidst the touristic location.
