Food at Universal Studios

by robinrv

Is it worth it to buy the meal pass at Universal Studios. How is the food?

Re: Food at Universal Studios

by Agraichen

It's been a while since I've been to the Orlando site, but in the past the "fast food" places were always passable. In CA the food is pretty good especially on city Walk.

I live right by Universal and tell people all the time to buy the meal plan. The food is OK, the usual pizza, pasta, burgers etc. The good thing is you can go round as many times as you want. If you want three burgers and fries just go round 3 times. Also the special cups they have are also a good idea. You buy it at the begining of your trip and keep getting it refilled at a fraction of the price of a regular cup of soda.

Go to the Beach--West Coast is calmer/smoother with sugar sand beaches. Our favorite beach is Siesta Key. it's a very clean city with a beautiful skyline and several neighborhood parks. The sunsets are truly amazing!

World Showcase

by Sharrie

Visit every country in the WORLD SHOWCASE: Mexico, China, Germany, Italy, Japan, France, UK, Canada & The Great American Adventure! I've been to Epcot twice & all the other 3 Disneylands (L.A., Tokyo & Paris!). Trust me, DISNEYWORLD IS THE BEST!!!

Anti-local customs!!!????

You ask for a piece of cake and they bring something close to the whole cake. But things are changing. Now they believe in style and they are commited to something mor eimportant than "more for your dollars". Good for them and for the rest fo the World.

sunny weather

get a backpack on wheels especially when traveling in the theme parks 1. sneakers and sandals with soft bottoms cause you will be doing a lot of walking once you go to these theme parks. Remember Disney is now as huge as the island of Manhattan in NY.
2. sunglasses for the sun is blazing.
3. clothing that you do not mind getting wet bug spray, sunscreen or sunblock, lotion, portable hand held fans might want to bring an underwater camera for certain activities fan snacks are kind of expensive in the parks so bring your own potato chips, pretzels, and mini juices from home. I find Orlando prices of groceries to be more expensive than back home in NYC.

Visit the Town of Celebration

by SmileyLeSa

If you've ever seen the movie Pleasantville, you can picture in your mind what the town of Celebration looks like. It's a small town community where you'll find everything on Market Street, the main road of this town. Market Street contains shops, resturants, a movie theater, post office and library. You'll even see some of the locals riding around in vehicles that look like golf carts as their local mode of transportation. Celebration is a nice little place to stop for some lunch with many options to choose from or you can spend a quite afternoon and grab a cup of coffee.
