We had a great time at the Clarion. The staff was friendly and the hotel was very nice. We went to the lounge for the karaoke sing along on Tuesday night and had a great time. They had drink specials and we had a blast. The food was good - try the ribs!
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
We will stay again when we are in Orlando.
Directions: Near Universal Studios just off International drive.

Shuttles to Seaworld free ect. If you book this hotel on their website and you find it on another website cheaper , then you let them know and then you get a upgraded room and 10% off your total stay !!!
We had a great time at this hotel, although dated they are working on the place and the rooms are lovely its just the hallways are a bit grubby but its still nice, the pool is gorgeous sun shines till after 6pm from early morning. We had a fridge and a microwave in our room, loads of towells, housekeepers are great. We kept our fridge full of beer from wallgreens down the street, nice little kiosk downstairs for when you get the munchies, pizzas are gorgeous from there. The food in the restaurant is very good too if you dont mind waiting as there is only ever one person trying to look after everyone, great food though. We got a room overlooking the pool and the beds are really comfy. They also have two hot tubs just off the pool that are really good, bit too hot sometimes but nice. We went with two of our friends and have to say we had a ball. The reception staff were very nice and got us taxis whenever we needed they were very prompt too. The only thing negative i would say is i ordered breakfast four mornings and always got the wrong order, good thing im not fussy, if ordering an omlette you have a choice of toppings they will give you whatever one they want to anyway so theres no point in asking, funny after a while, when he asked me what i would like to order i felt like saying surprise me you always do lol. i thought it was lovely to be able to drink your own beer by the pool untill 11:00 pm its lovely and relaxing. I would return to this hotel we had a great time.
Our extended family helped us celebrate or 50th wedding annaversiry. The meal and service was excellent.
Wet and wild as well as other attractions and good restrurants were within walking distance.
If you've ever been on International Drive, it is crazy busy. This hotel is off of I-Drive, behind Wet & Wild and is close enough to get where you want to be, but far enough that you don't have to listen to it! The pool area is great, with a covered patio, two hot tubs, and an adult retreat. I saw tennis & basketball courts, but didn't use them. Front desk staff was very friendly and housekeeping did a good job. Rooms are fairly standard, but did have a fridge & microwave which is a nice perk.
Best Western with southern style, they really make you smile, friendly, easy to find as a gracious host they are the best!

Maybe we were just unlucky but on our first day the shower wasn't working and had the maintenance in our room for an hour. Then there was a large leak that soaked the carpet from the bathroom which entailed the hotel placing a large fan in our room to dry the carpet....THEN, the sink in the bathroom literally fell through flooding the whole bathroom... you may then ask did they give us a upgrade.. NO, they just moved us to another room.!!
To top it all off they make you sign a form when you check in agreeing to additional $24 service charge. (read the small print guys)
That said the hotel was quite nice and had a lovely plasma TV, fridge, iron, free wi fi, microwave and safe.
We are a returning customer to this hotel...For those of you who don't know, this hotel was formally the Clarion Hotel. Well located 5min walk from International Drive. The I Trolly Green line to Premium and Prime retail outlets north and south stops less than 50m each way from the entrance. The rooms are a good size for a couple staying and the suites are even bigger! Very clean and pleasent enviroment. Micro wave, Ironing facilities provided at no extra cost....this hotel is good value for money. The pool is great with two Hot Tubs are provide. The Fitness room has recently been refurbish and has new equipment. You realy should consider staying here, most of the rooms are currently being or refurbished. The staff are pleasent and helpfull and the hotelcoffers good facilities all round...there is also a car hire service and self laundry service available. Unfortrunately since the take over to the Best western, there is no longer a buffet breakfast available...real shame as this provided a good morning healthy spread....bring it back!
+ : This is a great hotel for the money and the location for the attractions is 'Awesome' too! Wet & Wild right across road and Universal a short walk away, however there is a free bus service through the hotel if you need transport. And I drive is a 5 min walk if you need the $1 a day i-hop bus service.
Rooms were clean and have everything you need for a two week trip away, (would be vastly improved if they just used more natural colours when painting these hotels?) Big flat screen tv was great for night in if the pennies are running low, just watch out for the pricey pay to view movies! cinema is a cheaper alternative!. We had a pool view room on the first floor and was great if you needed to keep an eye on the kids etc? Pool and hottubs were great! Laundry was a great help and only $5 for a load washed and dried. Tony & Tracey on reception were great help and a pleasure to deal with.
- : They really need to sort out the doors that not only bang when inconsiderate fools let them go but it shakes the whole room, this can make a long lie or early night impossible, Lucky we are late bedders and early risers. The bar/restaurant is badly needing atmosphere and also a revision of there drink prices, The new millers bar in I-Drive offers specials every day and there beer is nearly half the price. Likewise the food looked un-edible? We never even ordered after noticing three couples leave more than half on there plates. Shame as it was handy for a nightcap etc. The small shop on the ground floor served some nice snacks, pizza's etc so you will not starve.
All round this is a great place for a cheaper break that won’t bust the bank and yet is still better than any UK hotel in its class.
Stayed just after UK summer holidays so very quiet. Got very good deal via hotwire. Room good size and clean with reliable wired internet. Several pools with bars open during the day only. Free shuttle to Disney and Universal. In easy proximity to excellent tacky giftshops and the usual array of American chain dining. I suspect that during school holidays this place can get a bit noisy and busy, though.
