Friendly, helpful staff help resolve any issues with the dirty, disgusting rooms
I stayed there with my fiancee on a 4 day trip to Disney World. We arrived in the hotel lobby, and noticed a sign warning of the bad things to come. There was a sign on the front desk stating that pets were welcomed in the hotel. It had a catchy little poem about how pets tend to be more considerate than their human counterparts. One of the people in line to check in were barefoot, and appeared to had done some traveling sans shoes. The room itself was nasty. There were urine stains on the toilet seat. The linens were covered with hair, and appeared to be several decades old. The last time the carpeting saw any shampoo was from an accidental spill of a guest, mercifully. Otherwise, it was given no love and promptly appeared as so. The staff, however, were very friendly, and quickly canceled our stay for the night, as we made a run for in to another hotel (Fairfield Inn). I was credited my money back without hassle. I would have to say that given the circumstances of that hotel, the staff there can make a case for sainthood. I don't care how much the rooms are, I won't stay there again.
Give this property a break!
I stayed at the Comfort Inn LBV Halloween week 2003. The room rate was low 30's. The location is excellent on a premier Parkway among many well kept more expensive properties. The room was basic with two double beds and was recently refurnished... ie. spreads, drapes, and a nice upholstered easy chair.. though not a recliner. It had a small table, small microwave and a ample sized mini fridge. Room TV was 25 inches with remote, also had a clock radio, desk and chair, small coffee maker with supplies. Vanity had one sink, hairdryer, and electric plugs ( some lower end properties don't). Toilet and bathtub/shower was separated by a door from the sink/vanity area.Floor lamp was behind easy chair with an accessible plug for charging phones or camcorders.
Furniture seemed newer. Dresser was large enough to spread out accessories. Small open clothes rack with storage on top. There was near the door to stack luggage in addition to a folding luggage holder.
Property had Gated security, nice grounds, nice pool, clean smelling reception area with nice bathrooms...... good free breakfast of cold cereal, oatmeal, toast/butter/cream cheese, mini donuts, mini bagels, apple/orange juice. good coffee, large open feeling dining area, free parking, accommodating staff. I spend my extra money on gifts, not Paris Hilton (ha, ha). Seriously, a good stay and would stay again.
Reasonable price, but once you view the rooms you find out why.
Bathroom was the worst bit, very very damp, no ventilation, mould all over shower curtain and walls as bathroom splash area not tiled. Asked staff three times to change shower curtain, all three times they merely bleached it. The smell hits you as you enter room, very dirty and old fashioned. Electrics hanging off wall behing T.V and the rest of electrical items are from the dark ages. Found food left from previous occupants next to my bed! Restaurant staff very ignorant and quite rude on occasions - avoid the evening buffet at all costs! Bar was very expensive also. Only thing going for this place is it's location and the pool area was ok - although the pool was freezing as they did not use the heating in it even when a request was made by another guest.
Will not be staying at "comfort" inn again.
Close and Clean
Not a showy place as you drive down Palm Parkway but the room was clean and roomy with an inroom safe and the pool was large, warm and clean. The drive to the Magic Kingdom was about 10 minutes. The continental breakfast filled up quickly after 7:30 a.m. but was adequate for coffee, juice and a muffin. The dinner buffet, while not fine dining by any stretch, was tasty and good value if you're travelling with children.
Good Value, Great Location
Stayed at the Comfort Inn in early Dec. of 2003 and had a very good experience. Rooms were basic and older looking, but clean and in good working order. Housekeeping did a good job. One of the elevators was out of order, but they had it fixed by the next day. The grounds are very well kept, and Lake Buena Vista is an attractive area. It's close to Downtown Disney and there were many dining options a short drive away. Getting to WDW is very convenient as well. We thought the free continental breakfast was good, and they offered a hot buffet for $4.95 (kids free) also. There is security at the entrance that stops cars without a pass, which is a nice feature. Pool was a little chilly in December, but our kids enjoyed the playground. The staff was very pleasant and seemed to try to please. Got a great rate of $29.95 on the hotel's website and thought that was a steal for what you get. Would definitely stay here again!
Great place to stay
We stayed here in October of 2002. We paid about $35.00 a night and found it to be clean and quiet. He had booked a regular room but they gave us the family suite for the same price. It is very close to downtown Disney and there are many resturants within walking distance.
We will stay there again. I told my friend about it and he stayed there in February of 2003 and also liked it a lot.
Pretty good place
Pretty good place. I was afraid of all of the reviews. Good price and no bugs in my room. My kids loved the familiy fun suite. They had a pretty decent hot bar, great kids eat free program, and comfy shuttles.
It was a good deal for the price. At first, we had a stinky room - but we asked for another room and were quickly moved to a better suite. My kids really loved the family fun suite and the mickey mouse waffles - you make them yourself.
Give it a shot if you are trying to have fun and not break the bank!!!!
Comfortable and Clean
I was really nervous because of all the reviews I read. The place was comfortable and clean. Continental breakfast was included. If you'd like a full buffet breakfast in the morning it is $5.95 per person, plus tax and tip. It was excellent. There is a bar on the premises and a snack store on the premises as well. The pool was nice too. The buses run to all Disney parks and include Universal and Sea World as well.
Overall, it was a really pleasant stay.
Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista
Hi guys has anyone stayed in the comfort inn lake buena vista in florida before? We've stayed around the area loads of times but never this hotel and have been gettin some mixed reviews!
Re: Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista
Clean and safe, but it was just TOO big for me. It has like 650 rooms, and that's just TOO many kids for the swimming pool areas and continental breakfast rooms.
