i need your suggestions, please. THANKS.

i'm a 17 year old teenager here in the Philippines. i wanted to have a vacation on my own to florida. i want to go to universal orlando and walt disney. it will be a 7-day vacation. my mom agreed to buy me my flight tickets. however, i only have $1000 to spend on that 7 days. i cannot afford a hotel. is there any way that my money can sustain me on that vacation? i really need your suggestions.

anyway, the reason why i decided to go to florida is because of THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER in universal orlando. i really LOVE harry potter.

Just a quick note, you cannot book a hotel in the United States if you are under 18 and often under 21 in some areas. If your parents book the hotel for you, they will have to be with you at check in.

Hi, you need to do some research. I went to a website where I got everything I needed in one shot. It was www.destinationcompare.com and there was a link on the flights page for students like you and me where we can get discounts.

I agree with the first poster - it might be a good idea to wait until you're 18. If you don't have to pay for the plane ticket with the $1,000 you could easily have a pleasant trip for that amount of money, even in a hotel (even at $70 a night for 7 nights, that would only be a little over $500, and you could probably find a better deal). But you probably won't be able to get a hotel unless you're over 18, at the least. Maybe you should check with a travel agent?

Is there anything else you want to see in Orlando or Florida? Do you have any friends who would want to join you to cut down on costs?

You might also want to check with US Customs and Immigration, you are considered a minor at the age of 17 and you may need documentation from your parents to enter the USA, just a suggestion.

Travel Tips for Orlando

Best to go to Disney

by iam1wthee

When the kids are in school. Usually in late June, August, December you will have to wait on really long lines to get on a ride or see a show. If you have to go during these times then go in the afternoon around 2 pm. Most of the early birds have finished with the park by that time. meeting Mickey

Orlandos BEST RADIO STATION

BEST RADIO STATION
Real Radio 104.1 FM
www.realradio.fm Talk radio is hideous. But if you have the choice of suffering the wagging tongues of right-wing pundits or Monster (truck) rednecks, the latter are certainly more entertaining for your busy ears. Between the Monsters, Jim Philips (and Moira!) and our own bad sport, Drew Garabo, the town seems none the wiser ... literally. The old stalwart of Real Music Weekends — basically the Loverboy-free side of hip '80s retro — provides a fitting antidote to a long week of jabberjawing.

Whole Foods Market

www.wholefoods.com

We like ringing a doorbell to get our smoothies, and Whole Foods is the only place in town that we get to do that. Ice-cold fruit and spirulina only mix together in so many different ways, but the diffident coolness with which the bell-summoned staff blends 'em here at least makes us feel less guilty about not wanting peanut butter in a drink. Plus, wheatgrass shots and carrot juice are yours for the asking.

Golf Anyone?

by cjg1

There are more than enough golf courses available on Disney property and close by for any golfer to be able to fit in a game. Make sure to call before travelling to secure a tee time. Reservations are a must and tee time book up in advance rather quickly.
