We stayed there in August 2009 and i can say that for the price we paid, it exceeded our expectations. Good value for your money, accessible, quiet, close to everything, shopping, Ripleys' Believe it or not, complimentary breakfast, parking is good, smimming pool is not bad at all.

Unique Quality: Close to everything, parking, quiet, swimming pool, free breakfast.

1988 - INTERNATIONAL DRIVE.

International drive was the place to be if you were looking for a good base to explore. Long before the Disney themed hotels became available !! We stayed at the Comfort inn hotel close to Wet n' Wild water park.

Budget Accomodations for families?

by lukas_mattias

The wife and I are taking our children (2 boys - 6 and 8) to Orlando in mid August for 1 week. Can anyone recommend a place to stay that is centrally located and is reasonably priced? We likely won't be renting a vehicle and will have to eat all our meals out.

Lastly, I heard workers in Emergency Services (firefighters, Ambulance personal, etc) received a discount at the main theme parks - Sea World etc, that they just had to just go to the parks ticket gate, show identification and they would be offered a discount, any truth to that???

Regards,

Chris

Hello

There is no doubt you will have to based on Int'l Drive, because it's the most accessible area to be based without car hire

Family Rooms at reasonable rates via
expedia.ca

Country Inn & Suites Orlando Universal

Avg rate (per night) C$67

Rodeway Inn International

Avg rate (per night) C$35

Quality Inn Plaza on International Drive

Quality Inn at International Drive

I’d consider pre-booking the I-RIDE TROLLEY
iridetrolley.com

Nearly all these hotels will offer complementary own shuttle service to Disney and Universal Parks

Taxi one-way estimated at US$40

Hello

I’m almost certain that military personnel get a substantial discount or free entry with uniform on. It as been known that Fire-fighters and Red Cross workers where offered free tickets to some parks or discount, but it’s not ongoing, you should make inquires by phone

Best wishes
