No room at the Inn

No room at the Inn. We booked a 2 week vacation package through United Travel with Ait Transat Holiday, which included air, car and hotel.
Mar 18,2004 The Plane left 3 hours late, medical emergency, we arrived at Hiltz to pick up the pre-booked car at midnight, it took 1 1/2 hours to get the car no real reason given(they did give us a $ 50.00 credit for this) We arrived at Country Inn & Suites Hotel Lake Buena Vista at 2:30 am. They had no record of our booking, even though we had written confirmation from Air Transat.
There were no rooms avaiable so the desk person tried to call around to find us a room for the night, no luck it was spring break. There was
a room but the computer said it was booked, so they could not give it to us, even thought it was empty. The desk person made some more calls
and got us a room FOR THE NIGHT. We spent most of the next day trying to arrange for either a place to stay or a flight home. Finally it was
arranged we would spend 3 days where we were and then the rest of the time where we were suppost to be at the Country Inn and Suites.
Our flight home was changed from 8:30 pm to 10:15 Pm whicn mean we got in at 2:30am and not 1:00 am as planned, No reason was given for
this change it was not an emergency of any kind. Air Transat agreeded to pay for the 3 days at the extra hotel $ 493.00 US Funds, We have only been back a week at the time of this writing but we have not yet recieved the payment nor been told whether it will be paid by cheque or credited to Visa.
The best weather on our vacation was the day we had to spend trying to find a place to stay, and the day we had to move to the hotel we were suppost to be at. I do not know whoses fault it was that we had no room, but if you book with Air Transat make sure you get a car, because you will want somewhere to sleep. April 5,2004 passed bill for hotel to United Travel Rep Got cheque May 18,2004 for cost of 3 days and letter of apology addressesd to United Travel.
Great Affordable Place to Stay

We stayed for 3 nights during July 2004 and had a great time.
Great internet rate for this hotel is available on the official website ($49 / Night).
Breakfast buffet is really good. Waffles are terrific. Lots of selection for a free breakfast. Also they give you free snack packs with various snacks which you can take to the Disney parks.
Tons of restaurants and gifts shops within walking distance.
Cab ride to Downtown Disney was around $8.

Clean, very well maintained, good location to attractions. Stayed 7/28 to 7/31. Great breakfast in the mornings. Extremely reasonably priced. Will definitely stay again here if in the area.

Great Location - Worked out Great

We stayed at the Country Inn & Suites the night of July 31, 2004. The location worked out great for us. We had reservations to stay on the grounds at Disney for Aug 1 - 3. We left the Country Inn & Suites early on Aug 1, went to our resort in Disney, checked in, and immediately went to the parks - so this saved us from spending the extra $$ for another night's stay in Disney. The Country Inn & Suites was clean, had a good breakfast, a great location, and all at a reasonable price.
It is only two blocks from the main entrance to Disney and is just as close to T.G.I.Fridays and Steak and Shake.
Great for the price

My family and I went for a quick getaway and took advantage of the Florida resident fares for Disney. We found this hotel to be close to the entrance to Downtown Disney. The value was wonderful including the continental breakfast. However, if you have small ones, I do recommend you ask to use the kitchen freezer to keep your ice packs cold because the refrigerator in the room does not have a mini-freezer and it won't keep your milk very cold. They were very helpful and offered us their kitchen freezer. There are plenty of great restaurants close by in case you get tired of the park food and the continental breakfasts. They have an Eckerd across the parking lot if you need anything later in the evening....very convenient.
I look forward to returning to this hotel!

We have visited the Disney Park area many times, but this is definitely the best hotel, and location we have ever stayed in. Our stay was August 20 to August 25, 2004. We arrived before check in time, and were able to check in right away.
The breakfasts were delicious, and continually restocked throughout the morning.
The rooms were clean and well cared for. We will definitely stay here again!
