BRING YOUR OWN WATER BOTTLE
by moiraistyx
This may sound silly, but if you plan on visiting Disney, I strongly suggest that you bring your own bottle of water. The best thing to do is to bring a frozen bottle of water and drink it as it melts. When you run out, simply refill your water bottle at one of the many drinking fountains located throughout the park. Otherwise you'll get stuck paying for bottled water and at $2.50 a pop, that can add up really, really fast.
Plan, plan, plan!

Plan your trip before you come!!! Too many choices - decide where you'd like to visit & how many days you are going to stay! The number of theme parks & the places of interest are a great many & forget about seeing everything on the 1st visit; impossible! Unless you've at least 2 months stay! Here, I'll start my trip from WALT DISNEY WORLD which is further segmented into 2 theme areas: World Showcase & Future World (also know as EPCOT CENTER & EPCOT stands for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow!). The 1st thing you must have with you is a map! Without a map you'll have to be a great sportman to survive this place! Huge & gigantic is the word! Let's start with Disney World, 250-acre (Epcot itself)& increasing by the day!!!

Unlike here in the UK where tipping is not a normal everyday event, in the USA particularly Florida tipping is customary and EXPECTED, it is usual to give around 10 - 15 % of the final bill as a tip to your server of taxi driver, for porters at airports or stations a tip of $1 per case carried/handled is usual, and Coach Drivers on excursions I think around $ 2 or 3 per person per day is about right, these guys usually do look after you and some go to extrordinary lengths to ensure your time with them is trouble and stress free, they really care, I think most deserve the tips you give, there are exceptions to the rule and of course where you hae not found good service then don't tip, complain. the Americans are great at complaining..if its not right then don't suffer it complain..but do it properly don't get nasty, if you complain in an assertive but reasonable manner you are far more likely to have a satisfactoy outcome to your grievence....be polite and reasonable....The Floridians want you to have a great time, but do it without treading on their or other peoples toes, respect others space as muchas your own and you'll have a great time
Pack as much as you can

Pack an extra bag for all those souvineers you'll be bringing home. Comfy shoes that you won't mind getting wet if you ride a water ride. Bring sunscreen and everything else you might need because you will pay almost twice the normal price if you buy things on site at Disney. Definitely bring film and extra batteries. I priced these out -- a 4 pack of film in Atlanta runs $12, at Disney it costs $17. Lithium Camera Batteries on site (mine died at Animal Kingdom) are $8.00
