Adventureland Veranda
The Adventureland Veranda was a place to try exotic food. I rather enjoyed the teriyaki chicken on my second visit to Disney World. Unfortunately, the restaurant closed in 1994, in part, due to loss of sponsorship by Kikkoman.

Has anyone been? Does anyone know if menu prices are comparable to the Hard Rock Cafe in smaller cities? Things ya have to consider when you travel with the huge pack of kids we have! :) Thanks!
basic the same every where, but Orlando has many places to eat that is cheap, when you get there , pick up one of those coupon books. I enjoy all the give aways items to get you to come in there.
The menu and cost is very comparable to all other Hard Rock Cafes. There is also a House of Blues and a Planet Hollywood at DTD if you are looking for that kind of themed restaurant.
My wife and I have been to the HArd Rock Cafe in Orlando. The prices are the same compared to other locations we have visited. The food is good and the service is excellent. here is always some entertainment at the Hard Rock Live next door so wait time might be longer during those events. If you have a large group of kids call ahead for a reservation so you will have a set meal time.

Stay away from the Length of Stay passes. The name has changed now, I'll look into what it's currently called. These passes are available only to Disney resort guests and are valid only for the number of days that you are staying at the Disney resort. If you don't go to a Disney park one of those days, you basically paid for a ticket you never used. Get instead a Park Hopper Pass. These still allow you to go from park to park and any unused days never expire!! You can come back and use them on your next trip in 50 years!

Johnson's Diner

This is the place to go to nourish the small-town country person in you, even though you'll be in big-city company. People from all walks of life — from NBA players to Grammy-winning musicians to congressional leaders — eat here regularly. Johnson's is such an intimate little eatery that you'll feel like you're dining with neighbors. To get the full effect, drop your lunch plans for the coming week and make a daily trip to Johnson's instead to sample from their set weekly menu. Don't miss the smothered pork chops and turnip greens on Tuesdays and the fried chicken on Fridays. Cook Earlean Taylor's lemon cake and sweet-potato pie are the best around and (thankfully) probably nothing like your proverbial mom used to make.
