    Worth the Dollars

    by

I stayed here in 2004 and I liked it.
The rooms are not rooms, they are suites (off course...) and you have really a lot of space in there.

Unique Quality: The Embassy Suites is within walking distance to the converntion center if you are here for business.
A lot of nice restaurants are within walking distance.

Great Family hotel near Disney and all others

    by

It's your usual Embassy Suites, which is a good thing. Huge rooms with plenty of room for a family of 4 or more. Plus, that wonderful cooked-to-order breakfast that is de riguer for Embassy Suites world wide. The room's price is excellent for the location and what you're getting.

And, when you escape from Disney for the day, the nice indoor pool and free afternoon happy hour are balm to sun-scorched parents.

Unique Quality: A typical Embassy Suites, which is a good thing. The best thing about this place is its good location for accessing all the tourist stuff that people inexplicably visit Orlando to "enjoy".

Directions: Exit I-4 onto International Drive and head west. Look on the right side of the road after about a mile.

    Excellent accomodation in convenient location

    by

This hotel with it's 6 bedded suites was really excellent value. The rooms had 2 queen beds in the bedroom, with a double sofa bed in the living area. There were 2 TVs, coffee machine, microwave, hairdryer etc and a great bathroom and vanity area. The complimentary breakfasts were extensive and great food was on offer from muffins, buns, cereals, fresh fruit, pancakes and all the hot stuff (eggs, bacon, etc). There was also a complimentary cocktail hour in the evening. The only negative was that the pool was a bit small and unimaginative! The kids loved the glass elevators and the waterfalls in the main atrium, and the location on International Drive, just opposite the Mercado Village is perfect! Highly recommended!

    Unique Quality: Outstanding complimentary breakfast!
    Very clean and well presented!

    Upscale all-suite hotel

    by

Customer service is the name of the game at this hotel...from the front desk personnel (Diana and Patricia) who got us into our room way before check-in as well as providing directions to the football game in Miami, to Craig our server in the restaurant.

Unique Quality: The hotel is just a few exits awat from RDV Sports, TD Waterhouse Centre (home of the Orlando Magic), Citrus Bowl complexes, Orlando Science Center, Bob Carr Auditorium, downtown Orlando and Church Street Station. Universal Studios Orlando and SeaWorld Orlando Adventure Park and Discovery Cove are a 16-25 miles away while Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, MGM Studios, Epcot and Animal Kingdom theme parks are less than 30 miles from the hotel.

Each suite is decorated with a private bedroom and spacious living room. All suites are fully equipped with two televisions, a refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, two telephones with data ports and a well lit dining/work table. The hotel has a giift shop, 24-hour business center, ATM, guest laundry machines, valet laundry service, Lodgenet entertainment system, and a Omaha Steak House restaurant.

Directions: Located at the beautiful Cranes Roost Lake Park and scenic Boardwalk.

    Unique Quality: Pro’s:
Location is right on International drive and convenient to many restaurants & shops.
Hotel staff was excellent. (Bring some extra $1’s because the staff deserves it)
Complimentary breakfast & happy hour are awesome. Nice selection of mixed drinks!

    Con’s:
Shuttle service is not flexible to the parks; they have a morning drop & an evening pickup.
Example: SeaWorld Shuttle leaves at 9am and pickup at 6:30pm.

    Directions: International Drive

Can't wait to go back

by TripAdvisor Member woops

Just returned from a 10 day stay at the Embassy Suites Orlando this was my second time to stay here I stayed here in 2000 it hasn't changed a bit. The all inclusive breakfast is a brilliant idea, the staff are very friendly they would bend over backwards to help you. Had lunch and dinner there a couple of times the menu had a lot to choose from. Centrally located.

The only downsides to our stay were not enough safety deposit boxes to go around we didn't get a box till 7 days into our stay, the hotel bar wasn't the best any type of drink we asked for they were out of so we drank in TGI Fridays bar which was just accross the road any type of drink you wanted they had. The room had a very musty smell in it I think it was down to the air conditioning after a few days we got use to it.

I wouldn't have any hesitation recommending this accommodation.

Note for wheelchair accessable room users:

by A TripAdvisor Member

The hotel itself was great, very much up to the standard you expect from Embassy Suites. A very attentive and pleasant staff at the desk and helpful consierge. However, we had a wheelchair accessable room and as is often the case, the room is in compliance on paper but in reality, there are flaws. Not to whine unneccessarily, but the bathroom was a roll-in shower with a fold down seat which is great except that the water did not drain very well, causing a flood all over the bathroom floor as far as the door. We had to form a dam of towels to stop water getting inside the room. There wasn't another accessable room for us to transfer into so we made do, but this ought to be a consideration for other family members staying in the room who are able bodied and could easily slip in the puddle of water which took a while to drain if you run out of mopping towels! Not good for Embassy Suites. I could harp on about other design flaws with the accessibility of this room, but there were none as potentially hazardous as this.

Not What You Would Expect At An Embassy

by TripAdvisor Member Tnflaman

I stayed there in early January. The Heat/AC system was very poor in my room and apparently in others based on a comment from a traveling business associate. The food service at lunch during a non-busy time of day, after 1:00 PM, was extremely slow as was the Manager's Reception in the evenings. Only one bartender and a long line of guests. The breakfast was normal. I wrote a letter of complaint and have not received a reply in over a month now. I won't go there again.

Excellent hotel in Orlando / Disney area

by TripAdvisor Member CindyAdams

We were so pleased with this hotel - I decided to write my first TripAdvisor review about it. Clean, roomy, and quiet - in spite of being next to the freeway. Great breakfast and cocktail hour! We love being able to have a cup of coffee in the morning, and a beer at the end of the day, without being charged high hotel prices. The breakfast was delicious. The pool was well stocked with towels, and very clean. We will continue to look for Embassy Suites in future travels. Well worth the money!

Great location, great hotel

by A TripAdvisor Member

Had an excellent stay at this hotel last year and have just booked up for another 2 weeks in October this year.
Really good location for all the parks with Disney parks just a 20 minute drive away and Universal and Wet N Wild only 10 minutes.
Plenty of good quality restaurants close by - no need to drive so you can get stuck into your free drinks at the hotel in the early evening after a hard day at the parks before going for something to eat.
Breakfast is good and our 3 children always found plenty to eat.
My only gripe would be that when there is a conference on at the hotel it can take a bit longer to be served at breakfast and for drinks.
Can't wait until our return visit later this year.
