BAPTIST CHURCH
by Michael_D
Downtown Baptist Church of Orlando
100 East Pine Street
Style: Greek Classical Revival
The First Baptist Church split into two churches in the 1990s. The congregation that stayed downtown renamed itself the Downtown Baptist Church of Orlando while the First Baptist Church of Orlando moved out to what would become John Young Parkway southwest of the city.(that church is now one of the biggest in USA).
Notice the striking similarity between the Baptist Church and the Presbyterian Church. They are nearly the same size, have steeples with nearly identical heights, and guess what - they sit on adjoining blocks and almost look like one big campus.

Relocation
by jle304
Hi, I am moving to the Orlando area in February and I wanted to get some insight on where to live in the area. I am a twenty-four year old and I want to live around other young professionals my age. If you live in Orlando, I would really appreciate your thoughts!! I was thinking the Altamonte Springs area. . good, bad?? Thanks!!

Hey.
Dr. Phillips and Windermere in my opinion are the best areas to live in Orlando. Most of the buildings are all new, lots of upscale restaurants and 10-15 mins away from everything. The area also has many young professionals.
Altamonte Springs I would not recommend that area because it does not have much going on for itself, and its proximity to everything (Malls, Outlets, Theme parks, etc) is quite far. If you want to live north of Orlando, Winter Park would be a much better choice than Altamonte Springs.
Good luck on your move!

Definately the area along Sand Lake west of Universal. There are lots of apartment complexes to start you off. Tons of restraunts in the area too. Windemere is just south of this area, and you probably won't be getting a place there as it's extremely pricey. This is where Shaq and Tiger Woods have mansions right on the lake.
One more option a little further away from the action, but a bit cheaper is to the East of Disney, near where 417 hits the John Young Parkway. This area has recently blown up. Hunter's Creek.
