Cheap but nice accommodation required
by louiseylou
I am looking to book a two week holiday in Orlando in sep/oct 2010. I would like to book a villa with a pool but can only find large 3+ bedrooms with extra suppliments for 2 persons. Does anyone know of cheaper villas with no suppliments. We will have a car so out of town is ok.

We stayed at the Hapimag Resort in Kissimmee, very close to the entrance to Disney World. It is run by a Swiss-based time-share company, but they operate like a regular resort in the US. Very clean, nice pool area, but you do need a car in that area. The rates were very reasonable for a 2BR,2B unit with kitchen. There are tons of other hotels/resorts in the area; do a bit of on-line research.

Travel Tips for Orlando
skip the 'attractions'
by shohman
If you want to see the true orlando, skip the Disney and Universal parks. Instead head downtown for a walk on Lake Eola and Thornton Park. Visit some of the independant restaurants, and stay away from the chains. Go canoeing on the Wakivva River. Go to Cocoa beach and have a drink at Coconuts on the beach. Go Fishing off one of the Causways on the coast (about 45 minutes from Orlando) where you may very well see Dolphins and Manatee and even sharks. there is nothing like February in Orlando, cooler than usual, but never snow. I've never even turned my heat on!
Traveling With Your Pets
by maryellen50
Last year, over 15 million Americans traveled with their pets, and 8.5 million stayed more than three times in a hotel that accommodates pets. Check list before you leave for your pets:
+ Call ahead to reconfirm the hotel is pet friendly again.
+ Ask what restrictions or fees the hotel requires.
+ Get a ground floor room so I can get outside quickly.
+ Bring my bed or blankets from home to sleep on.
+ Check with my Vet before I travel.
+ Keep me on a leash in public areas.
+ Give me good treats and pet me often!
+ Use natural/organic air freshner daily in room
+ Bring portable door gates so I can stay in a secured place when you are not in the room.
BEST ART SCHOOL

www.crealde.org in and around the quaint bungalows at Crealdé School of Art, on the shores of the lake hidden behind a Publix.
Not that it's a big deal or anything, but the school is well-regarded for its weekly "Life Drawing" classes (working with, ahem, live nude models).
BEST PLACE TO EAT WITH YOUR POLISH GRANDMOTHER

BEST PLACE TO EAT WITH YOUR POLISH GRANDMOTHER
Polonia
3586 Aloma Ave., Winter Park, (407) 671-4424
A Polish grandmother is really the only person with whom to eat blintzes. But since everyone is not invited to dine with their Polish grandmothers on a regular basis, try eating blintzes where a Polish grandmother would go if she didn't want to make them herself — Polonia. And it's not only the blintzes, recent research suggests the same for the golabki — the stuffed cabbage.
sky diving
by awladhassan
On our trip to Orlando we went to Sky Venture the state-of the-art skydiving windtunnel freefall adventure.
We experienced winds of over 120 mph which was quite an experience. And got a certificate to prove it.
Try it, it's fun
