Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa @ Disneyworld: Disney's newest resort- Saratoga Springs

Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is themed in Victorian architecture with the historic influence of horse racing. The motto for the resort is "Health, History, Horses." This lakeside Resort captures the heyday of an upstate New York country retreat in the late 1800s.

The 65 acre resort has a total of 18 Villa Buildings with 828 Vacation Home Units & 1,260 guest rooms. I particularly enjoy Artist's Palette which is a food area & market located in the Carriage House (lobby building) & offers counter service dining.

I also like the High Rock Spring Pool which starts with a water fall that cascades down the rocks into a large pool. There is also a water slide which passes under a bridge & empties into the pool. There are two whirlpool spas. "Quiet" leisure pools are also located near the of resort room buildings.

I have stayed at this resort several times now and have requested the Grandstand Villa twice & received it both times. I like it for its convenience to everything (pool, boat ramp, lobby).
This resort comes highly recommended for everything including facilities, amenities a service.

2007 Room Rates (per night, tax not included):

Room Type Value Regular Peak Holiday:

Studio $279 $309 $359 $399
1 BR Villa $370 $420 $485 $560

As with all Disney Hotels, free transportation to the Disney Theme Parks, Water Parks and Downtown Disney from Saratoga Springs Resort is available by: Bus and Water Taxi.

I love all rooms here.

Studios are 376 sq. ft. & like a hotel room with kitchenette , toaster, microwave, under-counter refrigerator with small freezer, coffeemaker, & bar sink. All have a patio or balcony with 2 chairs & table. They sleep 4.

1-Bedroom's are 1,016 sq. ft. & have a large "great room" with queen size sleep sofa & laundry room with full size washer/dryer. The master bedroom is luxurious, with king bed, chair & ottoman, 2 nightstands, armoire with TV, hope chest with drawers & ceiling fan. They also sleep 4.

2-Bedroom units are 1,322 sq. ft. & are a 1-bedroom plus studio combined. There are 2 different layouts for the 2-bedrooms- regular or “dedicated” 2-bedroom which has a 2nd sink & vanity area in place of kitchenette, & a 2nd large closet in the space that would be the outside entrance for the studio. The "lock-off" layout is simply the 1-bedroom & studio with a door between them. These units are well suited for couples traveling together who want privacy. 2-bedroom units sleep 8.

3-Bedroom Grand Villas are 2,265 sq. ft., are expensive & hard to get. All units are 2 stories, with full kitchen, dining room, great room, laundry room, master bedroom & bath, and 4th bathroom on the 1st floor. The 2nd floor is 2 bedrooms, each with private bathroom & TV. 1 bedroom has 2 queen-size beds, & the other has 2 double beds. The great room has an open, 2-story ceiling, 32" TV & stereo, dining area with 4 chairs, & queen size sofa sleeper, loveseat, & chair. The dining room has a large table that seats 8, connecting to a home-size kitchen.

Room amenities
• In-room high speed internet access
• Nonsmoking rooms available
• Irons, ironing boards, hairdryers & make-up mirrors in each room
• Fully stocked minibars
• In-room safes
• Cable TV w/ Disney Channel & ESPN
• Cribs, refrigerators & microwaves available upon request
• Laundry facilities

Kitchens include:
• Coffee makers
• Blender
• Dinnerware
• Pots & pans
• Microwave
• Toaster
• Stove
• Refrigerator

Orlando Exclusive Villas: Vacation Homes in Florida

The vacation homes are situated on Highgate park in florida. They are only 8 miles from Disney and have easy access to the I4 and surrounding areas. Highgate is a quiet area. There is a tennis court and childrens play area available for use. There is much more space than staying in a condo or motel. We had the use of 4 bedrooms (two of which were master suites with ensuite) large family room, kitchen diner. We had our own pool and spa. Many had games rooms too. Great value for money for families. Would definatley stay there again, and no way would stay in a cramped motel room again ever!

Having our own pool and spa. Great view from the pool decking.

Disney's Yacht Club Resort: For the Seafarer in us All

Out of four visits to Disney World in my lifetime, we've stayed here twice, and I can't say I have any complaints about the hotel. It's very centrally located; about two blocks' walk from the hotel is the entrance to EPCOT. The hotel is situated on a lake, around which are various forms of entertainment (mostly shopping, with a few other things thrown in). My family stayed in a simple two-bed room with a balcony, and we were able to watch fireworks that EPCOT put up at night.

Obviously, the hotel is yacht-themed, and has a very ocean-ish, seafaring feel to it. In a nutshell, it's almost like staying in an outsized villa on the beach.

Probably the best feature about the Yacht Club and its sister hotel, the Beach Club, is the pool. Sandy-bottomed and with various depths, it winds around a vast area and has many different areas. The slide is excellent, and is made to look like it starts in the crow's nest of an ancient shipwreck. You have to walk a ways to get to the top, but it's definitely worth it. There are a lot of kiddie-themed pools for the younger set, and are set away from the larger pools, which is nice.

Disney's Pop Century Resort: Disney's Best Value: The Pop Century

My boyfriend and I stayed at Disney’s Pop Century resort for a weekend in August of 2006, and I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. I was nervous about booking the “Value” room, but it was really a pretty nice room. The bathroom was small, but spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable.

There are trains that pick you up at the hotel lobby and take you directly to the theme parks or to the different resort areas. If you stay at the Pop Century during your trip to Disney world you can really park the car and never get back in it until you leave.

The only negatives were that there wasn’t a coffee maker in the room, and that the pool did not have a deep end or a hot tub. Apparently none of the pools at the Disney value resorts have deep ends, and if you want a Jacuzzi you need to upgrade to the likes of the Grand Floridian.

I felt like the Pop Century resort was a very good value for the money, and I would definitely stay there again.

The resort has many different buildings which are all themed of a certain decade. We stayed in the 1950's building and it was decorated with records, jukeboxes, and bobbysoxers on the walls. The pool areas also have enormous statues of cartoon characters like "Lady and the Tramp."

I

Best Western Mount Vernon Inn: Walking Distance from Everything in Winter Park

Typical Best Western Room. Bed, Bath, Coffee maker, TV and Wireless Internet

Central to downtown Winter Park (art festival) food and shopping. Although this place is on the outskirts of town, I found I was able to walk just about everywhere I needed to go in 15 minutes or less. The building backs up to a beautiful little park ( see my tip under "state parks animals and nature."

I didn't have any problems here, but I suggest you lock your car and avoid walking too far at night
