Renaissance Orlando Resort At Seaworld, Orlando, FL - Reviews and Hotel Information

We've stayed here in May 2005 and recently in November 2006.... We just love this hotel. From the moment you arrive (champagne reception!) you feel looked after. The staff are helpful and friendly but above all efficient. The hotel is large resort type, but when we've been here we feel like the only guests (mind you, we've always been in the low season), it's not a typically hectic Disney resort with queues/lines everywhere... just a great place to come back to after a day at the parks (we just love the hot-tub at 11 o'clock at night!!!). Allegedly the rooms are the largest (standard) in the Orlando area... I'm not gonna argue with that, I think ours was about 600 square feet.
The hotel has a fantastic atrium where the rooms look into... although we chose an ouside view with balcony (gotta have somewhere to dry those wet clothes after a day at Islands Of Adventure).
The hotel is currently under going a 20+ million dollar refurb, due for completion early 2007. So currently some facilities are restricted or not open. It didn't affect our stay and in fact it's a great time to take advantage of some low prices due to the refurbs'.
On our 2 visits we've used the complimentary Themepark shuttle operated by Mears Transportation who have a desk in the reception area, both Disney and Universal Parks are included. Great as they drop you off & pick you up right outside the parks... no $10 parking fee either.
Great location, super restaurants, massive pool, 2 hot tubs, tennis courts, volleyball, basketball, massage, sauna, the list goes on. Try it... you'll love it!!!

Right Next To Sea World... just walk across the car-park and you're there!!! Part of the Marriott chain and this hotel is closely tied with Sea World itself too... stay here and you can get special privileges; a Marriott discount booklet enabling such things as preffered parking (not that you'll need it), Ride again vouchers on Kraken,Wild Arctic & Journey To Atlantis, 10% off merchandise etc. Even the fish from the hotels Carp Pool have been recently re-located to Sea World!!!
